Wasnt this supposed to be ONLY for the Autorickshaws? oh and the Platina CNG dual?Originally posted by Sumit_Singh View PostThey are planning to re-introduce two stroke bikes in Indian Market. Two strokes are notorious for the pollution it creates. But what made Bajaj to introduce two strokes again in a country with such strict restrictions? Its the GDi . GDi stands for Gasoline Direct Injection . Bajaj has already launched Three wheelers with GDi engine .
As said in economic times by a senior Bajaj Auto executive -
“It is a big leap in the two-stroke technology and we are working to get it on our bikes and other two-wheelers. The gasoline direct injection (GDi) engine has substantially lower emissions than even alternate clean fuels like CNG and LPG. Additionally, it has lower operating costs than four-stroke technology that currently dominates the bike market.” Bajaj Auto is likely to customize the GDi technology for its two-wheeler products in the next few months.
----- Let's not make fun of somebodies research...........
I would love to see the 2 Stroke from Bajaj........... Keeping my fingers crossed.
Edit: Here this is the original article, dated my birthday two years ago!
Coming soon that fastest Pulsar ever on LPG.....
Well actually this thread HAS seen this discussion before, infact a long one....Originally posted by blisteringintelligence View PostSome one rightly said - Research is what i am doing when i don't now what i am doing.
Wake up.. If research would have been like this i would have ended up being a research analyst..
AS pointed out by Mr. Firestarter 2-Strokes cannot be manufactured in India at this point of time. Abroad Aprilia still sells 2-strokes but In india you will have to wait and wait long...
Yamaha would have launched their Rd350 again keeping in view the price a second hand Rd commands..
So if you are expecting 2 strokes from bajaj my friend you will end up waiting all your life...
Maybe this is another speculative topic up for grabs...
Things that can result from continuing this discussion are...
1) The Kawasaki Anhello...
2) Indian Government Sucks...
3) Bajajs tie up with Cagiva (yeah you read it right)
but SORRY, been there done that.... please... only new speculation!
Yeah we are the mischief makers, shredding every bit of speculation and at times creating new ones!Originally posted by Lost Soul View Postso these are the mischief makers
. i think all of you should be banned from posting here till you actually get some news and stop dreaming and speculating and torturing us poor bikers with these news that fail to materialise till 1-2 years
200 Page, and not one bike launched yetOriginally posted by ken cool View PostMischief makers!!! Is that what you called us? This place is going into the 200the page now since its inception and you call us mischief makers, the only ones who are setting the record a little straight!
Ps; I wonder how Pads' name does not figure on that list. He is blabbering no end!
I strongly second that.
And now it is time for celebration! No, not for the arrival of a new bike. But for this thread going into its 200th page!
(OK remove the Stunner FI from the list)
See we are doing a good job busting these rumours!
Give some respect... Rest fof the bikes, the Haya'chusa', GSXR, Bking are ok but the Intruder cannot be 125 CC.... !Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostI would love the Intruder 125.Who wouldn't want to roam around in streets on a machine which would sound like a lawnmower and would be freakingly large to scare the $hit out of people!!
The torque wave you would experience could even put a scooty to shame!!
it has to be 135CC
One more Edit:
TVS Launching a new bike... SR125

Get your gray matter updated buddy...... They were banned bcos of emission norms, not bcos they are 2 strokes.............

Exactly! Even I was thinking the same. Why would a government favour/disfavour a particular technology? Doesnt make sense.Originally posted by jasmeetsinghchawla View PostTwo strokers are not banned in India, whoever thinks so is wrong its just that most of the Two strokers find it difficult to meet the emission norms.
Still we have Scooty Teenz and TVS XL super both two stroke.
And also today i saw a news in CNBC that RTR 180 may be launched on 15th June.
I think government didnt 'ban' two strokes. It only banned production of two strokes which didnt meet emission norms. An attachment posted by insanebiker clarifies that point.
So there is still hope

Seems like you are high on something....Originally posted by Sumit_Singh View PostGet your gray matter updated buddy...... They were banned bcos of emission norms, not bcos they are 2 strokes.............
They were banned because of emission norms - correct
But why only 2-strokes ???
Get your facts right buddy.....

And KTM alliance - If it was that easy we would have been speculating about Ninja upgrade by now...
It certainly makes sense, but for that matter Manufacturers will have to come up with some innovative technology which can stand the test of emission norms and also satisfy our thirst for power.Originally posted by NitinGirish View PostExactly! Regarding 2-stroke GDI engines...
Exactly, how come no one has heard abt "ORBITAL'S AIR ASSISTED DIRECT INJECTION TECHNOLOGY" ??????Originally posted by blisteringintelligence View PostIt certainly makes sense, but for that matter Manufacturers will have to come up with some innovative technology which can stand the test of emission norms and also satisfy our thirst for power.
what BAJAJ is using for its Auto rickshaw is da same thing.....
with this technology, there is atleast 30% more power, 30% more Fuel Efficiency and the engine is actually less polluting than a similar sized 4-stroke engine without CatCon.......
ne one having doubts can just google and find it for urself...
