abhimanyu31. Your last post was truly inspirational. Salute buddy.
It is very evident that more than the money and the logic/arguments behind "rather buy a bigger bike", your aspiration and your dedication to do what you did stands to be commendable.

Just a thought. You should most certainly take it to the next level by may be making a part-time profession out of your hobby or may be just consult people because I am sure there are going to be many who would want to pimp their ride similar to yours, if not exactly the same. Commercializing your hobby would take away the happiness associated with the task. This way you will also get to work on more machines while you also make some money out of it !

      "
" I have been reading this thread regularly, i check this page every day to see if any new updates are posted here, its very interesting to know so much about your passion towards your ninja, at first i was curious about how many changes you were making to a bike which seems like a good all rounder in all aspects....but as i went through each and every post one thing became clear, your passion to take this bike to its perfection in every aspect. truly a great thread. keep posting your experiences and experiments.

This has been one of the most enriching threads on xbhp. Hats off to you, you truly love your ride. And when there is love involved, the questions like "why not a big bike", why so much money", become useless. But it'd be great if you could mention the prices of all mods in one post. This would really help fellow riders when they decide to go for any mods, they'd have an idea of the actual cost, and won't be robbed by dealers and mechanics.

hmmm.. so the post where you explain why the mods and not a bigger bike for that total money was an absolute eye opener.. beautiful..
I just hope i meet you someday.. would love to talk about it all and soak all that info from you..

dear abhimanyu sir, yours thread is really an eye opener for the so called self acclaimed motorcycle enthusiasts. following you since 1.5 months silently and gaining a whole lot of diy and knowledge on the bikes. this is my second thread on this forum as i joined it today only. a little about myself- a chemical engineer by profession, and very curious for enginees and there working. your guidance and co-operation is requested.

Hi, like many even I am a big fan of you. Very eager for your "Coming Soon!" updates.

Wouldn't these red light in front confuse other road users? I know you would have considered these things before even planning the update, but curious to know the reason. The red parking lights in daylight looks killer however during dark, being LED it would be bright enough to confuse others whether it is a taillight or headlight.

Sorry for being naive, but couldn't resist!

First of all the Ninja comes with Daytime Running Lights, which means the headlights switch on from the moment the engine starts running. Since the light intensity of the main headlight is naturally more than the parking light it really is not noticeable at daytime nor night.

The change in valves has made a world of difference to the suspension. It now behaves exactly like stock and is now a real pleasure to ride in all conditions. We also learnt a lot about front suspension during this build and its has now given us a better understanding on how suspensions are affected by even smallest of changes made to them.

Once again thanks to Motozone, Vikram and Vijay for all the efforts they have put in to making Ninja San what it is.

Apologies if I sound naive but why change so much to make it behave exactly like stock?

If this is a literal question then the answer; the stock suspension settings are a compromise for all types of roads and riding. However, were the same to be taken to a race track it would be come quickly apparent that the settings need to be changed to suit the riding conditions i.e. in most conditions the suspension will need to be firmed up while depending on your weight, riding style, tarmac conditions the rebound would also need to be adjusted.

If your question one to do with why change to USDs, then the answer; please refer to our previous posts http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/general-...ml#post1134021 for our reasons behind this change.
