The race projects have tied me up for a while now and I'm just trying to find some time post september to revive the Fiero tales. I am working on a something ultra radical for the Fiero and the engine will be finished sometime before november, i.e the Fiero 165cc drag bike.Originally posted by KwokFist View PostWhat's the update Joel? Its been a while since you posted any updates here.. any new work on the bike?
Meanwhile I wanna build my Fiero 200 as well and get that thing rolling. I have missed that monster for over a year now.

@Joel : do you have any kits available for a stock Fiero ???
I was also pondering over the fact that if you can put some time and intellect for the Suzuki GS150R.
If so, then I can bring my bike to you for the works.I hope that with the amount of experience you had with the Fiero, you can easily pull out something radical for the GS150R too.
Awaiting your feedback.

There is nothing for the Fiero as such. Everything of the RTR works on it. So its all covered. The bottom engine of the stock fiero with the 4-speed and the non-slick clutch leaves a lot to be desired.
The GSR is honestly a lazy and non-enthusiastic effort by suzuki. Its not even worth wasting time and money. rather leave it stock. Its a good commuter, can be tweeked, but then the potential is nothing comparable to the RTR or the R15.sigpic

Despite the fact that it shares the basics of its mill with the original Fiero ???Originally posted by Joel View Postbut then the potential is nothing comparable to the RTR
Or, maybe kits for GS150R won't have the sales potential like that of R15 or the RTR
I actually thought of trying the RTR180 bore kit on the GS150R,but the only pain seems to me that, the engine oil pipe to the head is external for the Fiero whereas it's internal for the GS150R.I cannot just bolt-on.
Moreover the I have observed that the bore/stroke ratio of the GS150R(57/58.6) and the stock R15(57/58.7) are similar.
So,I hoped with my limited intelligence on mods if anything at all was possible.

By far the best thread I've read. This thread up by Joel is nothing but dedication, hardwork, quest for knowledge, performance and above all PODIUM as rightly justified by his Race Concepts tagline. But I'd like to call it, Perfection. Performance. Podium.
Excellent, Joel. It's just inspiring to read every single page of this thread the pain, time and dedication. I'd love to meet you some time.
Keep rocking!
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks mate., And as we speak, the bike is still rotting in a corner of my house and the project has not seen daylight since 2010. I'm going to revive this and this time around, the horsepower gains will be massive. All the years of learning and developing will take the Fiero to a new level. Just waiting to fold up a few projects in my hand and then start on this.
What this Fiero journey taught me was to build things from the Impossible. The hardest way around to make every pony.Last edited by Joel; 04-13-2013, 03:16 PM.sigpic
