Don't Be silly Tvs won't launch an rtr 180 efi now. You should have remembered that tvs launches for RTR
1: Apache 150 On June 2006(correct me if i am wrong)
2: Apache RTR 160 Carb On June 2007
3: Apache RTR 160 Refresh carb By Jan 2008
4: Apache RTR 160 Fi On July 2008
5: Now They would surely Launch Carb RTR 180

Ok, now we can discuss this.

We found the new Srichakra tyres fabulously sticky on the grippy surface of TVS’ test facility. However, as I tried to lift the rear wheel of the new bike, the front tyre tended to skid a bit. True, with a longer wheelbase, the new bike should be a tad more difficult to lift up from the rear but it shouldn’t ideally have taken as much effort as it did. Not that the new RTR refuses to get its rear wheel airborne, but more grip at the front tyre would have facilitated that more easily.
This is what happens when disk brakes are strong, but tyres are smaller. Of course, feel from the brakes is strong on slightest press, but...

Whenever Bajaj upgrades their front brakes, (say P200 & 220) they upgrade the tyres too. So, that braking improves overall...

Rev the bike hard in neutral or in the first gear and the tacho needle keeps swinging to the 12,000rpm limit on the tacho. That’s good news as the absence of a limiter hints at introduction of performance kits for the bike by the company in the near future. Hooligans rejoice!
This is just a "fictitious assumption" of Bike India's Staff.

and Wheelbase could have been fine at 1320mm... I wonder why they raised it to 1340, whereas top speed doesn't seem increased.

This is no news. This is an article from Bike India May/ June Issue.

This should be moved to RTR Ownership thread or some place similar, but not here.

The earlier scootys also had the antiskid and puncture resistant tyres. As the Streak's tyres are lil bit wider, it provides better stability!!

Here is one more first-ride video of the RTR 180!!

    Lady1: Wait a min .. redirected to a gentleman
    Gentleman: Yes sir?
Me: I just came to know that RTR 180 has been released, so do you have some specification sheet or price for that?
Gentleman: gave phone to a lady
Lady2: Yes sir, it is released and it came to showroom(at this point I was really excited) but went back. And we are getting it soon.
Me: Good. What's the price? Do you have any specs sheet?
Lady2: No sir, soon it will come back to show room for showcasing and test rides.
Me: Any idea of price? And when did it come to the show room?
Lady2: Price: no idea, guess: at least 70k. Day before yesterday.

Then she took my number for future contacts and told me that she would call me as soon as they get one in their showroom.
Better if its true cuz my friend is gonna buy one Apache soon!

Scooty streaks tyres are way better than apache.. I own an apache and scooty..

The new RTR 180's wheelbase is 1326mm..(Source:Overdrive). They have experimented with wheelbase from 1280mm to 1350mm with 10mm increase and find 1326mm is optimal wheelbase for both straight line stability and flickability.. The RTR180 is still as flickable as 160 with 26mm increase in wheelbase.. The bike's length in now 2085mm.. For RTR it is 2020mm..
