And the major issue i had with this is the light gets scattered when it falls on the tail light glass. Hope u are able to understand the point what i meant to convey. SO i ll ve to put a circuit board or somehw place the LED's as close as possible to the glass.

My input for design. This way you will be able to see the LEDs from outside the glass as they are along the outline of the horizontal line pattern on the glass. lemme know if you like the design.
Use the FATTEST assed LED available for the central LED[big red dot] and Use it as brake light.
The X will be for XBHP style
....

went to buy the list of components and when they asked me how many watts i was a bit confused
1N4007 diode - 4x
1000 micro F - 1x
200 ohm resistor - 6x
5mm led - 30x

Looking at your reflector arrangement, I feel circuit board will be much easier. No issues of misalignment. Also in case of circuit board, LEDs are placed closer to the lens. This means lesser scattering of light by the lens.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostI couldn't get 8mm LED's
All Uni's have same glass, it has 2 glasses. 1 RED above that 1 White.
The pics i have shown are with White Glass only.
Regarding alignment of LED's, its not easy as placing on circuit board. The back part has different shapes and according to that the alignment is varying

It is a good job but the holes are not uniform. Also the LEDs are not aligned properly. Regarding the brightness, did you use 8mm LEDs or are they 5mm LEDs? Also, AFAIK newer uni has transparent glasses. Can you get them?Leave a comment:
