Re: Budget Tourer Discussion (under 1.5L)
Like I mentioned, looks are subjective. What you like, I may not like and what I like, you may not like. I am not a blind follower of Yamaha. I dont even own a Yamaha except RayZ. I have ridden both the bikes and FZ25 is much better than RTR200 in my opinion [emoji4]Originally posted by #bpk View PostSplendor - 2k to 2006

Dude forget it. Let him take his RTR200 on a 1000 km ride, and he'll get to know himself.
I get so much hate for buying an "ugly" AS200, people say NS200 was prettier and I'm an idiot, but then, I traded wind protection for looks.

AS200 is no way an Ugly bike! Love it for the projector it comes with. Night rides must be a bliss! People only care about how good a vehicle looks but don’t consider the other key features. AS200 protects the rider from head on wind blasts while the NS200 will tire the rider. Same with Fazer 25. Anyways, it is just a suggestion. Neither I am not gonna ride it nor buy em. I already have a tourer in place [emoji4]Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostDude forget it. Let him take his RTR200 on a 1000 km ride, and he'll get to know himself.

Re: Budget Tourer Discussion (under 1.5L)
Much better ! No abs, hard gearbox, various quality issues than fz , below average headlight, hard to fix due to presence of fi, higher maintenance cost, hard suspension setup than rtr 200. A motorcycle is not judged by only performance, it should be an overall package for touring.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostLike I mentioned, looks are subjective. [emoji85] [emoji86] [emoji87]Originally posted by HyperRetardABS is an important safety tool *IF* you are new to motorcycling.
But once you learn your basics, I dont really think its that important.
All F1 drivers start with go-karts, and all MotoGP riders start with 50cc Motocross bikes. And what fancy protection and gadgetry do those have? ZERO. Its about learning basics.
Once you learn basics, and have reasonable faith in yor abilities, you dont need ABS. You'll realize how to control your instincts when you're 25+ and have 60-70 thousand KM under your belt. Not everyone whacks open the throttle when they see an empty stretch.
Until then, ride safe.
Oh, and as for him being rich, or not rich, I guess, thats grossly inappropriate. You should realize that not everyone here is a teenager like you, people work hard, make sacrifices, and then buy the things they need.

Re: Budget Tourer Discussion (under 1.5L)
I bought it myself after one year of saving. I just want to say that if anyone buys a motorcycle in these days he/she should always go for abs equipped motorcycle only. Earlier days were different , at that time there were no options for people regarding safety, but nowadays we have so much options. So i would like to request all to go for abs equipped motorcycles. ( cause soon we will be having abs equipped motorcycle in every budget range ). I want that no one loses their life due to wheel locking. I have seen tragic motorcycle deathts in front of my eyes , so iam telling this. It's not a matter of rich and poor we are humans and should live happily with each other. Despite all of this i love you both Mr. as 200 and Mr. Ninja 650 .Originally posted by HyperRetardHow old are you?
Also, since you are talking of entitlement, and being financially well off and the likes, who paid for your motorcycle?

Going way OT! Kindly get yourself proper riding gears. More crucial than ABS.Originally posted by #bpk View PostI bought it myself after one year of saving. Skip to 3 minutes in the video.Originally posted by rreneav1987Excuse me. You are no one to judge me by what I own. It is your choice. I am giving my opinions and again, you are no one to judge me. Looks like you are getting jealous. I am not misguiding anyone. it is solely their decision to go for a bike with ABS or not. Did I force the person to buy a bike without ABS?
Are you saying people who are buying bikes without abs are losers? if you cant control a bike, why buy a bigger bike? Keep riding Platina, Shine, Dream Neo or whatever the smaller bikes available. you seem to be a newbie in biking scenarios going by what you are saying about controlling a bike. Even ABS wont save you if you can't control your bike nor anything other safety feature can. Buy a car and drive it if you are looking for safety.
Once again, if you opt to judge me.. lets take it in Messages and not in a public forum.
Signing off from replying to someone who can't understand what I am trying to convey..

Like you mentioned, i dont feel the need for ABS as well! I dont ride at very high speeds. Cruising at 110-120 kmph and the braking power they have are sufficient for me to stop without wheel locking. The kids these days are spoilt [emoji16][emoji16]Splendor - 2k to 2006

Re: Budget Tourer Discussion (under 1.5L)
Abs or not depends on personal use. In my 6 Lacs km of riding and driving I have never felt the need of abs.
Once I felt it.
While gunning at 140 kph in the new swift I need to brake hard. As an ox came in way. I braked very hard and the abs just went bersek.
But that was because I was gunning too hard.
Keep under sane speeds and you are good.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. Re: Budget Tourer Discussion (under 1.5L)
ABS/Non-ABS discussed on this forum multiple times and every time there was one conclusion, ABS is good to have but don’t expect it to work like magic and save from crashing. Riding skills matters the most.
