@thefalcon: I don understand y u cant understand what people are trying to say here They are telling you not to break the rules!! And please don jump signals... It was justified of the cop to fine you for riding on the wrong side of the road... N i hope you get caught if ever you jump a signal

anybody fined for using wrong fonts or color in number plate

Actually i do it coz its faster, more time to sleep when i reach home

But ya i got the idea by watching others..

But now i've made up my mind, no more playing "good boy" on the road..
If i see a signal without a cop and camera (and less trffic obviously), i'm gonna jump for sure..

You do it all the time, just becoz eveyone does it!

hmmm.. ya, but i used to do it all the time at that particular signal and it wasnt just me, everyone used to go on the other side too..

These cops seem to be everywhere last few days.. may be their colletion has dropped last few months

How can you blame the cop/BB when you have done the mistake?
Aint a divider supposed to "divide" a road into two parts, where-in each one has to follow "simple" road manners?

I got caught today for a really stupid offence !!!
when the signal became green (mayo hall to mg road) i went on the other side of the divider as there was lots of traffic on the side i'm supposed to be in..

Damn !! had to pay 100 bucks.. damn cops and their stupid blackberrys..
(i had half a mind to punch that cop and throw his blackberry away )

We were on the way to nandi hills ... I was also caught on the air port road ... was doing 120 when i noticed the "mamu sumo" parked at the left hand side of road ... and the funny thing .. my pilot lamps were on ... silly me ... anyways i reduced my speed down to the sane limits .. well below 60 Kmph ... but still the cops stopped me and i said i know i was overspeeding but the bikes along with me were also way beyond 70 ... why no stopping those guys ... for that he said .... our camera could not capture them ... (told ya ... my silly mistake .. pilot lamps ) ...
for that i just went to the interceptor asked them to show me my pic ..... i was shocked to see him registering me at 80 kMph ..something was just not right in the image captured ... there was a white scorpio in the background ... guess his gun captured the scorpio's speed not mine ....... bloody guy ....... and then what I called up my fellow riders to check out my picutre .. that cop also enjoyed the enthu of our group ... he was all smiles ...
anyways I paid the fine and i was lighter by 300 rs ...
after everything ....... i realised my bike is having Mumbai registration and what the heck i am doing with cops without the NOC and other papers ... we scurried off from that spot before any of the mamu could point out my reg. number ...
or they were not in mood to trouble us more ...
Tips to avoid getting caught by an interceptor:
1. Get behind a vehicle to cover urself from getting recorded in the camera.
2. if cops stop u even when u r driving in the limits always do check the recorded image . The speed gun must have recorded the speed of the vehicle in the background ..
3. Slow down as soon as possible whenever u see an iterceptor ....... as low as 45 Kmph .. Cause on that day two cops had mentioned two different limits for two wheelers ... one said 40-45 another said 50-60...

today i was going from the hebbal flyover towards the lotus yamaha showroom (towards mekhri circle) to collect my registration card. I was going in a speed of 50 km/h but suddenly some people took there bike in front of me in a speed of arnd 60-70 km/h. So i had also ripped my bike at 60-70 km/h. Suddenly i saw a police interceptor jeep. I was pissed of by seeing them & had started to hav prayers because i had remembered that i had forgot my license in my home & as i hav told earlier that the RC is with the showroom people. But luckily the police didnt stopped me or any other person.

Now i dont know why they didnt stopped me
I think they didnt stopped me bcoz almost every person was speeding at the speed i was. Even when i had saw them i had reduced my speed to arnd 40-50 km/h

True. Used to happen between Hebbal & K.R Puram Stretch on ORR, before BEL Corporate Office. Dimwits ended up creating traffic jam during evening rush hour Wrote a mail to Bangalore Traffic Police. Got no reply but I don't see them ever since LoL! Before you pull my leg, I agree it might be coincidence.

Thanks for the info. I have seen a few cops barricading the whole road by standing arm-to-arm to stop the vehicles.

PS- I needn't worry. My Activa doesn't go beyond 50km/h. If it did, the clutch heats up and I have to stop.

yeah i figured its 80 for all..i got caught out there doing 96 kmph..at one point i was doing 110 . I really just wanna blow by them once..just once!

oh alright, if there is a posted sign near Windsor Manor then thats fine. Yeah i dont argue with them, well i try and say that im rushing to the hospital or im rushing to see a patient but it doesnt work. Ive got caught twice already, i just slow down wherever they are rumored to be. I really wanna give the finger to these guys and tell em to piss off.

Those guys are absolute scum. While returning from Nandi Hills, me and a couple of friends of mine were caught jumping the signal. After a bit of haggling and lying that we weren't from B'lore he reduced the price and warned us to stay under the speed limit. Just to go with the act, one of us asked him the speed limit and he said its 80kmph. On asking if its 60kmph for 2 wheelers he replied with a straight face that its 80 for all.

Thats not the end of it. He relayed the message, on his walkie, to the other cops on that stretch to stop us for some reason or the other and make a quick buck like checking papers, improper plates etc. What amazing love for his buddies!

^ There is one near Windsor Manor. No use arguing with these sicklings. Also, I asked him about the range of the radar. He said 250m-1500m Not sure if slowing down in the left corner would help. Is the corner tight enough for the radar not to spot?

I just told them I know its a nice money making enterprise for you, how much is the fine? PCs tried chatting up and all, I went straight to the SI and paid Rs.300. These idiots shouldn't get the money as far as possible.
