Ok understood..Originally posted by rahuldevnath View PostWhat I meant, while riding with both the beams, you can simply toggle between low beam and both beam (Hi and low). I use it this way.
They are the original Phillips. Comes with packaging, bills and from authorized dealers. But they would still be made in China, your PC if running on AMD or Intel, is made in China.. isn't it?
It seems, coil is something no one can have enough of it
Aren't we the spoilt lot, think about the lesser mortals who survive on 35W, normal reflector head lights!

I somehow try to avoid china stuff wherever feasible. But still there is some doubt that creeps in.
Yes we are..
More is never enough..
Yes u can use. If your battery is fully charged then it would be fine. After testing mine on dual beam setup i wouldnt advice running at low rpms for long hours. If u have to run two 55W halogens for a long time, run at anything over 4.5k rpm. In stop and go traffic the battery will get low within a few hours.Originally posted by drvmtm View Postso we can use a 55 w spot lamp+55 watt hi/low beam at the same time in 220 dtsi,it wii not cause battery drain?
That sounds quite reasonable to me. Is the Philips one made in China or Germany?Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostChecked in JC Road yesterday. Forgot name of shop, he quoted rs.9600/- for Philips HID and Rs.6500/- for Raylux.
Is 4300K available in Raylux?
Originally posted by navnish View Posthey rahul 8k sounds reasonable but after all the samples i have got from the manufactures directly till date all the ballasts and hid bulbs / arc are all manufactured in one company in china just there are different processes .
example this is one company they have HIDs with all philips branding .
HID China, hid bulb manufacturer, hid lights supplier, exporter--Taichang
And this the company from where i import the Hids .
AOQI HID
Its not like i want to sell the product here .
but to be frank all the hids are more or less of the same quality.I dint import the Philips brand HID because the company only said that their normal HIDs are all of good quality and are reliable. Don't waste your time in choosing. if you have the money grab the Philips and if you are looking for something reasonable you can always catch me
I understood the whole concept. Its like when u are spending so much why not go for the one whose supplier is pretty famous and is in the business for a long time.Originally posted by navnish View Postwell said.
But only thing is you wont get a 4300k HID easily here at least in Bangalore don't know about other places. If you ever want to upgrade your hid to 4300k HID arcs/bulbs you can contact me anytime
Btw any special discounts for xBhpians?

This a DiY mod. Requires minimum understanding of electronic circuit connections. It is very simple.Originally posted by raiyan View Postwhere can this mod be done in delhi??
U can give it a person who is sound in electricals. He may understand it well.

I got a Raylux 6000K H7 for a friend with regular ballast for 5900 INR in Hyderabad with 1 Year Warranty. Is it a good deal? That shop keeper was ready to exchange the ballasts to the slim ones. But i was skeptical if the connectors would fit in the stock socket. But lower temperature wasnt available.
Also some other brand named Numak H7 4300K with 1 Year Warranty was available for 6000 INR. Is it a good brand?
We made a custom setup to fix the huge ballast. Its looks cool. We punched holes in the fairing and fixed the ballast bracket. Will post pics as they return from their trip. But the slim ballast is really SLIM.

The slim ballasts are not as bright as the normal ballasts. Check the quality of the slim ballasts, usually by just seeing them you can judge its qualityOriginally posted by rahul9985 View PostWe made a custom setup to fix the huge ballast. Its looks cool. This particular shopkeeper was ready to exchange them free of cost. I dont think he knew they are expensive.
The specifications were same on both of the ballasts except 1 current rating which i forgot. The regular one has 10A and the slim one had 5.5A.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!

Guys i took a old harness & integrated the relay in the harness alongwith the appropriate circuit. Now this harness is plug & play for dual beam on any P220. But i did not include the switch in it. Will do it later.

You are talking about the headlight/pilot bulb wiring, right? Infact I did the same, but it's impossible to get a new one from PBK, as it doesn't have a part number.
I'm searching for a shop which can provide me that.. may be we both can start selling plug -n-play setups for 220 on Xbhp..
