    2. Its the high beam switch only which makes both the HIDs work together. The dipper switch will have no effect while the high beam switch is on (it will work like how it works normally).
    Hey thanks,
Are you from delhi buddy? . Is this modification there on your bike too???.....I just wanna see it live before spending my savings on this

u hardly spend 30rs for this mod. If u wish to buy HID's then it would be expensive.

        yeah.. i'm from Delhi!

i've not yet modified my bike any way.. still running like it came to me from factory.

the stock setup is powerful enough so unless you have strong reasons to modify the lights, you need not do it.

hey buddy!great mod there but pls do use the HIGH Beam HID in a "controlled environment"
anyway can you do me a favor by posting a pic of the LOW Beam HID in a mildly lit street light?

          thanks a lot!

          • Hey guys i am totally new here, but i do have unlimited questions.
I have a P220, i was thinking of geting a second Projector for the high beam and then geting H4 Xenons for both, and then wire them as both Low Beam and High Beam, this will look really nice, but i am not sure the battery will handle it.
But whatever i end up doing i will need someone knowing what he does, so is there someone here in mumbai skilled enough?

P220 has got an H7 socket, will not be a direct fit for an H4. And projectors for HB will not be impressive unless its a dedicated HB lens. U cant have both beams in one lens and get a nice HB. The current setup is the best following in cars too. LB lens and HB reflector dome.

Ahem Ahem !! +1 to that..

P220's Ellipsoidal Lens for High beam is just exactly what we need for a High beam. It goes like a laser and low beam projector gives excellent spread.

But as Rahul has done, combination of Low Beam Spread and Laser can give you the best flood light !! Its a Killer on the road

                • Ok, but wont a projector for the High Beam mean great spread and clear light? just like what was somewhere in this thread that inverting the lens of the Low beam will make it a high beam.
So if i get it arranged for both the high beam and low beam to be on together then i will get a complete circle or something like that?
Also around 3k for another projector isnt much.
Also how are the local brand HIDs working for the people using them?

If you use two prjectors, to get a full circle, ofcourse the light spread will be there, but with a maximum range of about 5-10 meters. For high beam we require, straight beam covering at least 100 meters distance.

The Ellipsodial and Projectors are the best possible automotive lighting.

                    • thanks for the lovely thread.. i own a pulsar 220dtsi.. and have done the same thing. i m using two spartans h7 H.I.D.. but there was no relay provided in the H.I.D box. and i havent installed extra battery charger. there is no battery drainage problem, but ya my meter light fluctuates and it gets resetted again.. is there any problem which i can face in the future?

                      this is how it looks

Good to see the mod.. working great.

There will not be nay relay bundled with H7 HIDs, nor do you need any charging. However your meter getting reset, is strange. How old is your battery? This seems to be a battery problem.

                        • Recently has the opportunity to see Rahul's bike in flesh! The twin HIDs works great (as expected)! The projectors too cuts out the glare to a good extent.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Ofcourse, the HID will fit in place of stock halogen bulbs. You can the Halogens as spares.
