Yeah, I know that safety depends upon the rider. But I wanted to know which bike gives you the most confidence while riding? Like you can stop at the place you want, take a sharp turn if an obstacle comes out of nowhere and doesn't skid like hell. Like in a wet road or sand, most bikes skid. I want to know which bike skids less, has better handling in all these areas, the best brakes, etc here in India. The best balanced bike, like I don't think splendor would fit the bill because of it's speed.

If this is what you are looking for then the answer would be yo bike. The speed is so less that you can easily control it. There will be no drama in braking , handling or anything.

As I said, it should be an all rounder!

For my point of view, considering the below parameters for safer bike.

            1) How much provide wide stability on top speed?
            2) Best break timing from Top to 0 speed
            3)
            4) Excellent chassis which support fine cornering and reduce the engine vibration.

If you're Insane than no bike can be Safe for you,
If you're sane than even a Yo Bike can be saner for you!

Being Safe Depends on five things-

              *Luck.
*Your control over you, your senses and your limbs in hyper conditions.
*Your riding style on particular moment.
*Riding/driving style of your fellow road sharer's.
*Condition of Your bike and environment.

Despite all the discussions, I feel FZ16 is the safest bike.
It has good brakes, grip and moreover, can NOT reach high speeds...

I mean, it is the closest.

my vote goes to royal enfield with front+rear crash guard. It wont go very fast.. And even if you crash it with a car, its the car guy who will get hurt more.

con: The brakes are shitty.. so planning the next kilometer is of upmost importance, not a bike for the impatient..

                      my opinion

It is definitely not the role of a bike to be judged in terms of safety paramters. I feel the bike has a minimal role in terms of safety.
Quiet true if not safety gears like helmets and other racing safety products were not there in the market then i am sure there would have been much larger scale injuries than what you wud get wearing them and them ripping til the end without fears of our beloved indian traffic and pedestrians.

but if you still need a safe bike go anytime for a royal enfield. and some aftermarket addons for safety.
SO RIDE SAFE ,WEAR A HELMET , and IF you wanna RACE them wear Proper equipment and have fun.

then will take 100 secs to come down to a halt from that speed, esp the drum brake versions

There is no such thing as a "Safe bike", only a "Safe rider", There is a very thin line between, you controlling the machine, and the machine pulling your reigns. Coming to the point, your question does not make much sense. Every bike is both safe and unsafe. For example, a crotch-rocket rd 350 is a disaster waiting to happen, if it were to fall in to the hands of an inexperienced rider (this may or may not include POSERS/LOSERS/Wannabe college kids). And that doesn't mean a splendour or a luna is safe for the same guy. accidents don't look for more Cc/Horse power. They look for vulnerable, foolish, and sometimes even unlucky riders. It all comes to how you perceive yourself as a rider.

If you want to travel from point A to point B, get a car/rick/bus, anything. If you want to "LIVE" the same distance, get a motorcycle.

                            Ride safe!

I'd say an overloaded TVS 50 XL (or the modern version of it) is the safest. If you load it with nice big bags of stuff left and right as well as on the front (as many of you must have seen your neighborhood delivery guy do) then you are mostly immune from anything.

Plus it doesn't go fast either

I've seen guys doing 60+ km/h on it.
