One more question... Should I add that flap for increasing the thump sound?

I don't think so. It would work fine just the way it is!!
Just keep riding and the sound will settle down to what you love.

          CARBURETOR & AIR FILTERS

the above is a 28mmm carb (same as bullet 500cc) with a conical performace air filter, accelerator cables, choke cables and lever. below are some more pics of the air filter

          MAIN & PILOT JETS

bullet 350 carb employs 90 main jet and a 25 pilot jet. for better performance u can opt for a 100/105 main jet and a 30 pilot jet.

          ENGINE
as i mentioned above... mods to carbs and airfilters are great, but they put considerable stress on the engine and as a result reduced engine life.

          PISTONS

This piston gives approximately 8:1 compression compared to 6:5:1 of a stock piston.

These English made piston rings are made up of several rings for each groove. They give better compression and oil control especially if you have a worn bore.

          CYLINDER HEAD - VALVES

These valves are slimmer in design. The reduced weight and friction coupled with the superior spring arrangement and alloy top collars allow a greater rev range. The kit comprises of valves, springs, guides, collars and collets.

          TIMING CASE - CAM SHAFTS

a very fast road or competition cam based on a very successful road race profile

          3 WAY TIMING PINION

This timing pinion has 3 different key ways. Standard, advance and retarded. These 3 positions allow you to change the cam timing of your Bullet. Advancing the cam timing will give you low down torque for pulling power, whilst the retarded setting will push your peak power up the rev range giving you a better revving engine for more top end performance.

HIGH CAPACITY OIL PUMP FEED & RETURN

This English made product delivers over 50% more oil than the standard item

This return uses a 11mm plunger and returns more oil than the standard pump.

          CLUTCH & GEARBOX

          CLUTCH

This is the same clutch as HC use on belt drive kit. However it has been specifically adapted to suit the standard chain drive. It is an economical way to get a superb clutch without the expense of the full beltdrive kit.

          GEARBOX

This is the gearbox which is fitted as standard to the new 5 speed Bullets. HC have converted this gearbox to a right foot gear change and have modified the internals to give the conventional 1 up 4 down gear change. HC have been testing this gearbox throughout 2003 and putting it through its paces on the road and track. With its completely new design, it has performed superbly. It has vastly improved rideability and performance over the old 4 speed models. It comes complete with new style clutch centre, clutch cable, gear and kickstart lever etc.

          ELECTRICALS

          HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR

This is a GENUINE LUCAS alternator gives out up to 120 watts, far in excess of the standard unit. It is suitable for running higher wattage or halogen bulbs.

          POWERBOX

This unit replaces the unreliable regulator/rectifier and allows the bike to be run with or without a battery.

ELECTRONIC IGNITION KIT - RE WEBSITE ( ADD ON KITS)

          ELECTRIC STARTER

The above electric starter is now avaliable with RE dealers..coz it's now a standaerd fitting to the new 500 cc bullet.

DISK BRAKES - RE WEBSITE ADD ONS[u]

phew !!! finally the mods list is over. there are many more but i have mnentioned only those which are feasible in india. all the pictures and parts are from HCM website and RE website. except for the 5 speed gearbox and a few minor mods.. most of them are indian made (even the piston), so it will not be impossible to find these parts in india. the above mods gel with the bike perfectly. after consultin credible sources from HCM and RE yahoo group, u can expect a TOP SPEED : 85-90 mph ( 137-145 kmph) and mileage of 20-25 kmpl.
