Ananth: 1 small bit of advice..to counter the so called fuel leakage/smoke/fuel pump/ incorrect fuel gauge reading issues, just top up the full tank when you get the baby..dont forget to inspect the bike/rvms/ and exhaust n heat shield for scratches. Also, in the evening adjust the headlamp properly."Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"

So, do you still have the thunderbird..?
Hey many thanks! Can you elaborate on the scratches part? I already saw that the Bike is scratch free - but not sure what u meant by Heat Shield. Also, w r t headlamps, should i fiddle with the fairing / how do i do it?Originally posted by myg124 View PostAnanth: 1 small bit of advice..to counter the so called fuel leakage/smoke/fuel pump/ incorrect fuel gauge reading issues, just top up the full tank when you get the baby..dont forget to inspect the bike/rvms/ and exhaust n heat shield for scratches. Sumer: great that you got the call buddy, the ZMRs are facing a nasty fuel pump issue resulting in all those smoke problems riders faced a while back.. did they change the whole unit??( as the one deployed was a cheaper make, the new one is imported i guess)..Originally posted by sumer_goyal View Posttoday i received the call from dealer service station for 1 service & fuel pump change by the engineer of company.

Ananth: the headlamp can be adjusted very simply by tuning the nut which is visible right behind the light inside the fairing, just like in the ZMA. rotate it left or right accordingly until the throw is perfect as per your needs.
The heat shield is the sheet of metal right above the silencer. It gets scratched sometimes during pre delivery period, just inspect in case..nothing serious."Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"
