    • Today checked 3 dealers in Pune.
Waiting period for one is 2.5 months, other is 1.5 month and the third one has not started the bookings.
One of them have it for display, but informed me that as per companies instruction, they will not be giving any test drive. I will check it this weekend, try to convince them for test drive and finilise it.

      • @Ananth: Thanks for the detailed review.

Regarding the headlight , go for higher rating bulb preferably 55W Osram Night Breaker. If the lighting is still less(after putting 55W ONB), go for a 100W Philips Rally bulb along with relay.

        • Guys,

Changing the stock tyres or the headlamps etc - Wont it void the warranty?
If no then what all parts are covered under the comprenhensive warranty HH offers?
          Me confused

          • I rode the zmr for some time last week on the ride to kerala and these were my observations.

            1. feels super refined
            2.feels huge compared to a 220 or a zma
            3.brakes are much better off
            4.excellent road presence

suprising part was - we thought we had the only zmr in coorg when we were traveling by when a local resident on a white zmr zipped past us.

Dealer @ Bavdhan informed me 1.5 months and cost is around 1.02L 1K dependingon the location PMC / PCMC. This is on road price. Had just initial telephonic conversation. What was your experience about the delivery period and who & what was the delivery period quoted by others.

Thanks Ravi. Thinking off first trying my Thunderbird's 55W Halogen Bulb - It was wonderful on comparing to this stock bulb!

Thanks Surbhit. Where are you these days, Havent heard you for a long time now!

Anyway, I did a quick 150 kilometer ride today - Just to test how the bike behaves in rains / wet surface

Finished work after a Night shift - It was very gloomy - Went back home and browsed through the papers saying it is gonna rain, immediately refreshed myself - took the rain gear and waited for the rains to start! It started to drizzle by around 7 AM, and so took off to my native (Kanchipuram) 75 kilometers from Chennai - came back home by 2 PM fully drenched in rain (both me & ZMR)

                    Findings:

Handling is too good even on wet / skiddy surface!

The Stock tyres behave poorly on wet / slush surface.

Rear Disk not as effective in rains..

Front Disk does its job wonderfully well, be it rain - slush or normal weather.

Breaking is good enough, stops without a fuss till 60 kmph - more of front disk needs to be used for more effective breaking till 75 kmph.
Above 75 kmph - It was risky and the bike wont come to a immediate half - but skids and stops after some distance, I would advice not to belt more that 80 kmph on the highway if its raining!

Didnt take my cam since it was raining and so just a pic of the as usual, Boring Golden Quadrilateral - Taken from the mobile:

                    • Ananth, seems you are keeping the ZMR where it belongs (highway) most of the time. Seems you are having lots of fun (reminds me my days when I bought the ZMA, used go out of the city everyday after office hours).

Osram Nightbreaker supposed to give 90% extra light than normal 55/60W bulb and that is why it is expensive at 650/-

Anyway, you can try the bulb you mentioned and update us on the illumination.

Ravi anna: I wish to change my zmas bulb over to the ones you recommended..either the philips nightvision or the osram, which is the best and highly recommended by you?? any idea where can i find it in mumbai??

Ananth: Awesome stuff yar, you are truly riding the ZMR where it truly belongs. Great that you did a rain ride, so that you could gauge the tyre feedback and as said, it aint so good! Trust me Ananth, change em! It will be a magic ride after it.

any long ride you are planning next??

Thanks! As said, Tyres will be changed as soon as the stock ones are worn out - To me we should use what we have in hand and then try something better! And next ride would be to Bangalore, nothing much for this month.

                          • Mehul, both Osram Nightbraker as well as Philips VisionPlus are on par and good, though I have not personally checked Philips VisionPlus (I have Osram on my bike) I heard the Philips to be very good. You can try anyone of these depending on availability. Sorry that I do not know Mumbai and I do not know where you could source them in Mumbai.

When did it become so cheap?
A pair of H7 costs 1950 INR which makes it 975 per bulb.
