hi guys... and congrats to all the new karizma zmr owners... i was away for sometime...

recently it rained for a few days in bangalore and on the next day when i was traveling to college... i skidded in the wet mud and fell off... the bike suffered a few scratches on the upper right flaring

it really hurts to see my baby getting hurt... i so wish i taken the injuries upon myself... but unfortunately

anyways i thought i'll only change the sticker on the upper part of the flaring...get a new one... can that be done ??

and guys and some advice to riding in the rain... zmr's my first bike and never driven on a day-day basis before... so no idea on handling the bike during the rain..

that I was looking at to get some good time with my ZMR after weeks of slogging at office. Preparation wise didn't do much,
just made sure adequate quantity of fuel was present, tyre pressure both front & back were in order, first aid box, light snacks
& last but not the least a bottle of mineral water. On the D-day woke up at 5:45 in the morning after snoozing the alarm for 5th time.
Got ready by 6:30 am. Thought of washing my babe but then realized that our landlord had cautioned about the water scarcity issue
till Saturday evening. But my ZMR was looking as if all this while I rode her on dirt track (thanks to the sudden intermittent
thundershowers couple of days back). So did small make up, cleaned only the white parts.

Guys, trust me, if you ignore the rim & chain cover my bike was looking dashing. Easy cleansing effect , thats one good thing about
white color. Learned it yesterday from riyaz ... self implemented it today.

Started off with a vroom at 7 am.

Planned Route : Bangalore - Mysore & return Mysore - Stop at Srirangapatna (Tipu Sultan's Capital) - Bangalore
Total Distance : Around 300 Km (Calculated from the place where I am put up)

The weather was looking really and being my first experience ... my first long trip things couldn't be better. My babe
was churning miles after miles with ease. Potholes were like cushion ( the small ones ). My first stop was to refill my wallet as I didn't want to take any chance ... just in case. Took almost an hour to touch the state highway which connects the two cities. Being my first experience I didn't had any clue whatsoever about the route. I did google the previous night but its a different story when you hit the road. So the outcome was that I lost my way only to be rescued by an autowalla (first time in my life I started liking them for being so polite and helpful). Well my babe (ZMR) kept following my instructions, did not give any trouble except :

                1. RVM's they vibrate a lot. At higher rpm's found it slightly difficult to view
                2. Gears were not falling correctly when I tried to bring them down just before a speed breaker, this happened even though the clutch was fully pressed.

Hoping to get the above two issues fixed during the first service.

On a positive note she is still a head turner. Guys ( even guys on R15) & gals all of them were gazing at us ( me + ZMR )
Stopped at Ramanagara at around 8:30 for breakfast. Thought about the legendary Gabbar Singh of Sholay on passing the rocky hills of Ramanagara ... it was here that the film Sholay was shot. After covering 100 Kms stopped for the 3rd time, this time to stretch myself and take a few
snaps. Finally at 11 am reached Mysore. I planned to take a stopover of half an hour which included taking snaps of Mysore palace and
a light refreshment. Mysore city is motorist friendly when it comes to the sign board conveying the route to Mysore Palace. Was a child's
play for figuring out the place. I started liking this place ... Stopped close to the entrance of Mysore Palace, took a quick snap and then
started off in search for a restaurant. From this point onwards I started disliking Mysore. No proper sign boards indicating one way routes.
With my new found soft corner for autowallas I followed an auto (don't know why), after covering certain distance the auto took a left. I followed the same ... only to find a hotel close by, so I stopped by ... but then the ambience the filth nearby didn't arouse me to put my foot forward. I moved on and this time an auto overtook me from behind and stopped in front of my bike. A traffic cop jumped out of the rick and questioned my traffic senses. He scolded me for riding on a one way (I cursed the autowalla first then myself). I defended myself by saying there was no sign indicating that that stretch of road is a one way & that I was new to the city. He took out the keys from my bike and asked me to come to the station. I knew instantly what was itching him ... I made up a sombre face and requested him to leave me with a warning ... but this guy was really determined. Finally he asked me for 100 bucks. I put into force all the bargaining experiences that I learned at the grocessory shop ... I offered him 20 and he gave me a nasty look .. I doubled it to 40 but no luck then finally I reiterated my old alibi ... "I'm new to this city" and gave him a 50 bucks note. He took the note and then helped me out in finding a restaurant

I started off my return trip at around 11:45 am after a quick refreshment. The return was not so pleasant as by this time sun was out with full force.
Its only because of extra smoothness & comfort of ZMR that gave a soothing effect though limited speed of 60 km/h was a bit frustrating. 20 kms on I stopped at Srirangapatna ... took some snaps of Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace then applied the throttle for Bangalore. Half way down my journey I realized that blisters had formed at stratgic locations on my palm. I cursed myself for not investing on a riding gear. Scrotching sun & blisters made me to stop thrice even though I didn't stop over for lunch in last leg of my journey. Finally at 3 pm I reached Bangalore on the way I also dropped intoone of the HH showroom to get the body cover for my babe.

                Overall it was good experience.

Some highlights of ZMR which I really appreciate apart from the usual + points

                1. The dual horns are perfect for long rides. Very clear & distinct. I simply love the sound.
                2. The RVM's provides a very good view of the background
                3. Shock absorbers are simply magnificent
                4. Head turner. When you ride a ZMR, you become the center of attraction

I am also posting some snaps that I took. Please bear with the quality of the pics.
