I was being too careful with the bike never took it above 4000rpm Somebody
told me that the bike should be revved hard during running in period.
please change oil at every service. do not go by HH interval to change oils
you need to change oil every 1000 kms to keep engine in great condition

also to check top speed..u need to ensure that u have pulled properly till red limit in first 4 gears and not just start pulling in 5th gear

    crouch down if needed

I have touched max 130 kmph on my ZMR on multiple occassion's however never managed to cross that figure but I m sure 134 is also possible on ZMR.

U need to make sure you crouch properly and with proper road conditions and limited Xwinds there very good possibility you will reach 130 kmph.

Even with Xwinds I easily touch 125 kmph on ZMR.

Meantime... Just back from Mt.Abu trip on my ZMR. Yet to write a review but ZMR was amazing throughout the trip. I continuously rode the bike at high speeds between 90-110 while coming back for almost 14 hours and did not face any issues in the bike. Managed to cover 750 kms in 14 hours on my ZMR. Also managed to get a mileage in excess of 40+

It was changed in first service and in second service the mechanic told me that it was not necessary but still i got it changed
well when I was checking the speed I didn't revv it hard in lower gears I just changed to 5th gear at the speed of sixty it was going
smooth till 115kmph after that the speed it was fluctuating between 115 to 116kmph then I reduced the speed to 85kmph coz i was
a little uncomfortable at that speed.

I may try again someday who knows it goes to 130 or above since I'm not a speed maniac it really satisfied me at those figures
I also own a bullet 350std with heavier crank it's eight years old I never took it above 50kmph and sometimes to get real pleasure
out of it I cruise at 35kmph speed
Next time put the 4th gear at 80 0r 90 and then 5th ..then see

u need to pull each and every gear

oil to Motul or Mobil mechanics told me to stick to Honda OEM oil reason
warranty void issue but since I'm not bothered about that I wanna ask
which oil is better I think everybody knows about Motul but I never heard of
motul and been using Mobil in my Enfield 350std since past few years
and it's been giving me good performance so guys I really need your suggestions about the oil and one more thing I wanna ask to guys residing near Chandigarh is where can I acquire one (Motul) in Chandigarh or Punjab
no warranty issue if you stick to 10w30 grade , which is recommended by HH.

              i recommend you motul,shell,mobile 1 .

hope this link will be hep full for you to get motul

Dude, refer owners' manual, HH normally mentions no use of synthetic oil, so warranty may be void with use of synthetic oil....please check your manual before you decide...

                    • Hello all ZMR lovers,
I have my ZMR with me since 2010 December in Nagpur, as many of must be knowing that the ingition light that denotes the function of fuel ingector, also denotes its malfunction and health by blinking, as i have confirmed from the Service manager here the bliking has some code with number of blinks, but on my bike i have observed that the light many a times keeps glowing and i have also noted it blinked for more than 255 times (then i lost my patience), even my bike give a wobble at times while ridding, as if ther's no fule supply..

Also in these 15 months, for the very first time i got fst starting problem on my bike, i was made to race it to give a start.

i just wanted to ask every one here if any one of us have faced the same problem as i did with my bike and if it got resolved, please let me know what is that problem.

                        Firstly 2010 December or 2009 ??

Why didn't u ask them to do complete diagnosis in the earlier stage itself ?

The malfunction light glows when one or other sensor is malfunctioning. Do claim it in warranty and get things resolved asap or you will end up paying big time for spares. If service guys reject to do, shoot a mail to HH.

My bike is definitely not 15 months old but never the malfunction light has come up. Its done 7k kms and is 6 months old !!

                            • Tips to touch top speed :
                              1. Talk the bike out sometime around 12-1 in the noon.. the air is least dense at this time hence reduced air drag(courtesy: top gear)..
                              2. Change gears only after you redline everytime..
                              3. Crouch low when you reach about 100(again reduces air drag)..

I've done about 131kmph.. Felt there was a little more to it.. and then again i didn't wanna stress too much..

The confortable cruising speed for ZMR is 100-110 no problem if u stick the needle between these speed for long long time....
