ofcourse this happens ,not only with two wheelers but any other product but that's a different topic altogether

Same thing happened 3-4 months back to a friend but for R15 & yamaha dealer.
Satyen gave us some email IDs & within a span of 15 days of writing to them the extra rs.1700 which was charged by dealer was returned back.
Atleast was happy with yamaha in that respect

Once I had e-mailed Bajaj regarding poor service(at a specific SC) and the feedback was exemplary !

Always heard that the higher-ups at Bajaj are proactive !

BAJAJ... Don't turn a deaf ear to it.

          @dcs:
Fella, I am able to digest every fibre of what you put here about Bagga Link, who is ofcse being patronised by once very dear to us "HAMARA BAJAJ".
I just followed this thread and replying immidiately without having a look at the delivery papers and bills of my 220 which I bought on 21/09/09. I am having my share of great anxiety and trouble arising due to the negligence of this dealer and after sales service. I am gonna put down an extensive and detailed review of what I have already been thru and how my issues have NOT been addressed so far. First thing I'm gonna do when I get back home this morning is to run thru all the papers and bills and then plan ma action.
Here is a lil excerpt of the stint I have had with Bagga Link, Karol Bagh, New Delhi. I booked the bike with a specific Reg# on 07/09/09 @ PBK, Vasank Lok, New Delhi, paid 10000/- as advance and was committed for the delivery by 1st day of navratra then i.e. 18/09/09. Was told, can have any color @ the time of delivery, though on the quotation I had put black. As usual, delivery was postponed. Couple of days later I was told the bike was ready.
I was there on Monday 21/09/09. A rep named shalini or shefali (don't remember exactly), appeared with a black beast which was booked for me. When asked if I can also consider some other colors from the lot there. Denied, saying the bike has been registered with RTO already. Too fast....Taken. Just inspected if the bike was OK enough as a couple of blue stickers on the bike state so. Tried to give a full roatation to the rear wheel while on centre stand, was not so. The rear tyre would get sandwiched betn the disc pads after half a cycle so badly that I had to give a good firm pust to make it complete the roatation. When asked, was explained that it would be BUTTER SMOOTH with due course of time when you start biking... Taken.
Now, I have had a look at the bike from the rear, for a simple reason that I have come across, that on a lot of Bajaj bikes, the rear mud-guard is always offset. Mine was none the different, with its mudgaurd wide open to the right. Explanation goes exactly this way, mind it: Sir, in the transit bikes are stacked in such a way that sometimes with the front tyres of the bikes in following row touching rear mudguards of the bikes in front row. WOW... when asked give me the one from the last row, whose rear is never even looked at by any other bike, guess what lame excuse was presented to me.... Sir, your bike has already been registerd with RTO. Unless there is some major... MAJORRRR... and visible dent or that sort of something, no other complain of yours will be entertained. Sirrrr.... let's go for the formalities. Yahaan bahut dhoop hai. (I wanted to tell that you are right dear.. I am really feeling the HEAT. All the concepts of Physics which I have read till date were paralysed by this explanation and I still wonder which kinda plastic is being used for these BAJAJ bikes that would just loose it's elasticity and get permanently deformed by other nasty and so intelligent bikes in the following row that they would simply scratch the a$$ off the front row bikes in a transit period of not more than a couple of days,...any suggestions???)
Now this lady Rep explains me to have a teflon coat (TEFLON COAT..that's what they say), 500/- for two coats, 2nd after 6 months from the delivery date. And to add an engine ceramic coat named Nano energizer, Made in Korea, 240/-(Bagga Link sticker price), imported by Bagga Link. which apparently helps in smooth functioning and reducing the wear and tear of the engine. Greedy me... was taken by the teflon trap. Paid 740/- and got engaged in completing the paper work. Within 15 mins. Guy was ready with ear to ear smile, saying teflon coat is done. To my great surprise, I just came to know last week ,when I had been there to have the 2nd coat that these guys were minting money under the great supervision and bluffing of Bagga Link by making a 3M Liquid Wax Polish in the name of Teflon coat. And the irony being, I couldn't get the 2nd coat as I lost that very lil green bill alongwith my wallet last Diwali. And they are so Professional that they don't keep a record, even the carbon copy from that Bill book. Lucky me... After much of da-da di-di do-do, with that sardar ji in the svc center bay and the guy named Javed, those Coating guys communicated to me that they will have a check in their REGISTER (sounding very important as if it contained nuclear trigger info in that) which is kept in a secure office of theirs, situated in Vivek Vihar, Delhi. Gave him my#. It's been two weeks after that, I know, I won't get any call but I am still waiting....lol.
After the coating was done, bike was then routed to the attendant who was supposed to give me a brief idea about how to maintain the bike and parts before the final delivery. I handed over the Nano Energizer pack to that guy and told him to pour that into the engine only in my presence and left to complete the paper work. But, that attendant was so hard working and dedicated, that he din't wait for me. He din't even keep the empty sachet to show me if he even put that thing in or not. Either he knows or....God knows, what he did with that sachet, as in the service bay very next to him, the price stickers are put on those sachets. I was just speechless and couldn't utter a single word even to myself, at the sheer dedication and customer centricity of everyone around there. I was duped... BIG TIME.
I have had enough by then and wanted to go home asap with ma beast, never knowing that this was just the start. This was the prologue. As I mentioned, I would be putting it down nicely and want to join the league so that we fellas can get what we deserve... THE GOOD SERVICE as a customer.
And I am very happy with the way dcs has given it a start, even though it was your friend's purchase but you have made it meaningful.... I am in...

Nothing new, in Bangalore, that POS Khivraj Bajaj has the same ripoffs going on with the teflon and additive schemes. Plus their servicing, guaranteed to worsen the condition of an already primitive pulsar...

@tnaish - great indepth info there man. Though nano energizer does work, its for run in engines, not brand new engines.

These are lame excuses from the dealers, who are interested in selling the bike and getting you outta there asap.

just got off the phone with the service head here in Delhi, he's assured me that the sales people are already on the case with bagga link and are finding out what happened, and why it was so. Hoping for a speedy resolution.

Well, another mate comes up with an in-depth scene by scene depiction of the horrendous ways of customers being taken for a ride by Thugga Link

Ok, few updates on the issue:

                  • On Wednesday, Mr. Rajeev Mani, General Manager of Thugga Link called up and asked me to come to Thugga Link to get the explanation of charges. Man-o-Man, people with Thugga Links either have balls of steel or they don’t have any. Just look at the attitude: “Aap hamarey showroom mein aao, hum aapko batayeingey ki charges theek hain” Bloody crazy (beep) hole he must be. How can they even think that I will take a day off from my work; walk, ride or drive in the sun to their showroom and ask for an explanation. Oh, perhaps, he forgot to add that he wanted me to go down on bended knees. If only Sunny permits me to use few good words( even at the cost of getting an infraction) I would like to say what all I want to say to the Thugga Link.

                  • I have heard from one of the officials from Bajaj Auto, who has been following up the things religiously and has assured us a solution. As for the 405 rs. being charged towards the Logistic Charges, the gentleman tried to explain and convince me, but I have refused to buy it, till it comes documented. He has been in touch with me and has assured me of the solution. Further, he has agreed that the 475 rs. of Attestation and affidavit charges were wrong and they are ready to refund it.

However, am still awaiting an update on the Logistic Charges. Lets see how soon and what do I hear from them.

I answered it already, if it is necessary, why dint Bajaj do it for us. And believe me, a simple periodic oil change is anytime better then all these fancy treatments.
People at Thugga Link would always sell you something or the other on top of a new bike. They too tried to sell the so-called Teflon Coating and the Nano energizer. I asked the people two simple questions-
                  • How can a Teflon Coating cost just 500 Rs. (if it is a Teflon Coating)?
                  • If we need the Nano Energizer, why dint Bajaj put it themselves?

They guy was coming up with a stupider answer but I showed him my business card from Suzuki and he walked away wearing a disgusting look.

                  Thanks mate for your concern.

P.S: My MS Word shows an error each time I type Bagga . It simply replaces Bagga with Thugga. I hope this wont have confused my mates too much.

P.S II: My computer is better than people at Thugga Link.
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

@dcs: Yes, the Thugga guys always insist on using that Nano shit, along with the engine oil for no apparent reason at ALL (I have always referred to that Nano thing as "Nano shit"). A simple oil change periodically is MORE than enough for a smooth running engine.

However, I see that they have acknnowledged the fact that the Rs.475/- charged towards attestation and affidavit charges were wrong and they are ready to refund it. I hope the other issues are taken care off too, soon. Please keep us updated on this.

P.S: That reference to MS Word was absolutely hilarious, I am still rolling on the floor!

Very interesting. This is even more commonplace with Maruti dealers. Buy a HR regn car from a Delhi dealer and there'll be suchlike registration charges which won't get bills (its cheaper to buy a HR car from HR than delhi! - the regn charges increase by around 4-5k) and no one will explain. But they'll give you a full receipt. such is like.

                        PS: Thread title is wrong.

The whole buzz of online customer service in India is basically a disaster. It stands same for ALL companies. I think they just publish an email address since they need to or their competitor is publishing one, and some peon replies to these emails when they get free time.

Question is, when you cannot provide a service why keep it? I have had similar experience with every online customer service, banks - auto - homeware - insurance companies. They have several canned replies which the peons pick - edit and send.

my friends dad had a big fight with navnit motors for his bmw 5 series regarding service...all are the same when they come to india...they know duplicate parts sell more and those companies earn more from their bikes then they do with the original parts.sad scene but we have to held ourselves responsible for saving money and entertaining frauds.

how many guys buy parts and ask for original bill...we can count those guys with our fingers.why should the company provide original parts and better service...i know a person who shut his showroom cause the company told him to sell duplicate parts if he wasnt doing buisness with the company's given things.people want stuff for cheap...they want bikes parts of 10 year old model for the same price which they used to get 10 years back....count the number of people wearing good protective helmets on road and the people wearing helmets without an isi mark(they find even those helmets waste of money).
