      Dear friend It is the design so that when RVM collides with something instead of making the bike unbalance or getting tangled with something they just get unscrewed (assuming that the bike is not being ridden in reverse gear).
      my point is that it is the security feature so leave it as it is.

        You really did not get my point at all. I am not talking about conventional RVMs. I am talking abuot expensive ones like the Rizoma mirrors that have a double joint stem in which case teh reasoning that you gave is obsolete. I dont need that justification and its not a "feature"

        My question is> How do you lock the RVM in its attachment socket?
