• Increasing CC for greater output

I own HH Glamour (125cc, DC modded, borexstroke=52.4mmx57.8mm)
I want to have increased power output.

I am thinking of either increasing bore to 54.4mm(reboring +1mmx2 =~ 135cc) or turning to 150cc.
There are several doubts.
1) Will the block of Unicorn/hunk/extreme/achiever fit? since stroke remains same. (bore=57.3mm)
2) will the above planned reboring would be suitable?

I am not going to put all my queries in 1 post now.

Request: I want to know any risks/limitations/obstacles/precautions involve in this.

@psr sir, your intervention would be helpful for the chap.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END

Yep risks are great and highly outweigh the pros if you want a "fill it, shut it , and forget it" ride.
But if you want your own hot rod with your own specs and can deal with fine tuning and niggling problems. Then my friend the satisfaction and pleasure of having your own custom one off and getting it to run right and well is euphoria. Go right ahead but plan well and know wdxactly what you are getting into.

If you are looking for more power then sell your present bike and move up to a higher CC engine bike of your choice. It will save you a lot of heart burn,Hard Earned Money and give you peace of mind....If you want more info on perils of hot rodding please read " Powerhouse FZ18 " thread in General biking...

Re: Increasing CC for greater output

a good way to start spending money to end up bringing the bike back to 125cc..

is it worth the money? A Big No No.
is it worth the time spent? A Big No No.
is it worth the pain and stress?? A Big No No.
is it Reliable?? What does the word reliable mean? no such word in the dictionary when it comes to hot rod.
What will be the power output? very high, in-fact the power output will be too good, that you will end up very fast in the mechanic shed often.

Few people learn through experience and check the below links to help you better on what the after effects will be..

A hot rod that went wrong will no prior experience - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/help-me/...ml#post1084047

For your information, cc isn't the only factor for better performance..

Karizma is 223cc and the R15 is 150cc. You might know what I am trying to say here..

do as what psr sir has said.. he is a wise man with lots of experience.. he knowledge he shares out of his experience is for the betterment of others..

if you still want to take the risk, please go ahead..

you will never know where you will get stranded as the reliability factor is 0..
