That depends upon rider and whether its a round section tyre or a flat section

Cornering is not only tyres....its body position and angle of lean too.

Ok...now the question is how much can a highly experienced rider lean his bike with 100-90/17 tubeless tyres??

It depends on the arc of the tyre and the tread pattern too. A 300profile tyre cant be used for "leaning", but can only be "tilted".

This image might give an idea how the arc of the tyre helps in the grip while leaning.

See this image as an example : I guess he is using 90-100 profile, and check his body positioning alongwith the toe placement.

I was trying a knee down but didn't succeed, was almost down though, hardly an inch away from tarmac. Any tips on doing this properly, I wasn't uncomfortable at all though.

Buddy, wrong body position. You are able to get down because of your height. Take your bum out of the saddle (left as per pic), keep your toe on the pegs and then bring the knee out.

Pic from my track day at Kari Speedway. Though I didn't get my knee down, I was really able to push and reset my existing limits.
