how much are u willing to spend?

Fujifilm have the S100fs... it's a fixed lens camera...
    with a 28mm - 400mm manual zoom lens.
and a max aperture of 2.8
it uses a 2/3 inch 11 megapixel CCD sensor. (two thumbs up for the sensor)

u have the option of fitting on external filters...
it can shoot macro (objects which are about 10mm away from the lens)...

it's feels like a bonafide SLR.

it's a discontinued model now... but i highly recommend it.

costs about 25 grand in the grey market now.

for P&S with 10x zoom, get the Canon Powershot SX120IS (if its available)
also check out the Canon Powershot SX130IS and the Panasonic Lumix TZ8 (both have 12x zoom).

So, you have taken the plunge. Nice pics to show it off! I may buy the Powershot G12 soon, but still contemplating a DSLR too.
