Looking for suggestions and I plan to buy it before end of the year...

PS: I don't mind streching the budget a bit if the reasons are compelling...

have a look over dem, it is indepth review of both of dem
Look out for Stores sucha J J Mehta & Sons (At Dadar) and Reliable Photos at Fort, at fort u can bargain nd u may get it under 25k, as per ur price range u hve specified Canon 1000D or Nikon D3000. Canon is known for its Picture quality and Nikon is mainly known for its color performance, though both brands r well known and perform cut to cut.
CAnon uses AA batteries where Nikon uses lithium rechargeable batteries

My cousin is coming from US (Philadelphia) early December. Kindly help me in choosing between the Sony H55 and Nikon COOLPIX L110 as I guess it is cheaper there. The photos are going to be mostly of trekking and nature. Any other suggestions regarding other point-and-shoot cams with long zoom in this price range are welcomed. Kindly help me. Thanks
I Will recommend Sony H55 over Coolpix L110, lok out for Panasonic Lumix FZ35, if u get it cheaper buy it

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)
