    • Renny, bokeh (background blur) is very important for closeup shots to make them look great. The next time when you take pics, see that the back ground is very far from the object. Look at this photo, the subject is focused and the background is blurred.

            • ^^ Though there is a little blur, that is not sufficient. The background is still distracting. You could have shot the bird from a better angle than this. The only way to get a good bokeh with the normal consumer cameras is to shoot at higher optical zoom possible (more the zoom, more the bokeh), standing away from the subject, and keeping the subject at a distance to the background. More the distance of the background, more the bokeh.

              Professional lenses with high aperture values (F 1.4, 1.8, F2, etc) would produce too much bokeh even when you are close to subject. If you shoot at 1.4 aperture, you can focus the eyelashes and blur the eyeball

                Thanks, but that was shot using my mobile phone. But will surely try with some better angle and more distance from the background next time.

                    The close up in the evening before sunset where as the one with clouds is early morning just after sunrise
