Cool. Will get them on V2 thread. Thanx buddy.

        Total 2 straps

        1) One goes through the foot pegs of the pillion (Both sided pegs)
        2) The other one goes through the brake light assembly.

Sounds perfect. One holds the bag and other strap stops the bag from moving front during braking.

        Thanx Payeng.

Most welcome, just a slight correction:

          3 Straps actually.
2 that goes through the rear footpegs (left and right side)

On the ViaTerra Claw there are also Metal rings to pass through Bungee Cords or to fix Bungee Nets.

Thanks a lot aargee, i was really embarrassed to ask you again for this and i used to go through this thread almost everyday, just to see this.
Good to see it mounted on RX, it would have been nice if you could post a picture taken from a little distance, but never mind these are more than enough as it shows all the closeups which is more important.
Between i don't remember anywhere you mentioned the dimensions of the bag or did i missed it somewhere?? if not could you please give the breadth of the bag from beading to beading. Just to know whether i can mount it on the rear carrier of RX
Again thanks for the awesome pictures!!

No, the mistake is mine, you don't have to feel embarrassed. Like I said before, I'd taken the pics few weeks ago (see the dates on the pics), but felt lazy to post here

From my experience, I don't think it will fit in. Anyway, here's a simple test you can do...

Measure the distance of your seat starting from the rear most end to the middle where the belt appears in the center. If the rear carrier has the same length, then it might be a fit

                    Review: ViaTerra Ranger - Saddlebags

Here is the review ofViaTerra Ranger - Saddlebags which I have bought in Feb-2013 and have been using for few months. So far, I have used for 8500 km of rides including 1500 km of off-roading.

I have ordered the same on 17th-Feb-2013 through the company website. For a person like me, what motivated me the most was the option of buying it through the payment option of Credit Card. Frankly speaking, the option of NEFT and check/DD payment mode seemed to be outdated to me. Still, that does not matter much since you have the option of paying through all possible online payment options. It includes payment by Credit Card/Debit Card and Cash card plus internet banking. Well, for the various payment options, it deserves 7.5 out of 10.

The only option was the Cash on Delivery option which was missing. COD is no more a point-of-difference but a point-of-parity for all the products bought online, specially in case of riding gears. Missed this option badly and hence, deducted 2.5 marks out of 10 from the delivery option points assigned to this product.

Coming to the shipping charges, I was shocked to check that that there is a charge of INR 174 that has been charged for shipping cost on a product of price INR 2500. Felt to be slightly overcharged since I did expect for a free-shipping for the same. Most of the items I have bought so far through e-bay for this price range and this category have not included any shipping charge with it. So, it has been a negative point which I had assigned to it.

Coming up with more details soon (once the thread is approved). Till then, please check the below picture. The

Please check the saddlebag on the thunderbird on the left.

I'm really very sorry, it's going to take atleast next month before posting them
There's also a minor concern (may be someone should educate me probably) that the knots gets loose & it additionally needs to be tied down a bit. This pic is on the phone & needless to say, Windows 7 is a great O/S to give all sorts of issues in all possible ways at all possible times

No problemo!!! your reviews are worth waiting.
And darn windows 7, try random issues at random times - may be that'll negate the possibilities

Re: Viaterra CLAW, Nelson-Rigg Spirit 30 & Cramster Colt - Review

Got it and went out the very next weekend.

I tried the same saddlebag as soon as I got it. Now, I am coming for the luggage-loading capacity of the bag in the next post, but would like to mention what happens on the bag when you sail for long distance.

Firstly, let me mention that this is my first saddlebag. What I used to do so far was to make use of Ladakh Carrier and other means of tying the luggage in the backside (including extensive usage of bungee chord). What I felt at the very first instance is that this bag has amazing features of keeping the right thing at the right place. You can put the water bottle in the front pocket wherein you can take it out without getting down from the bike. I liked it.

The first trip I did with this saddlebag was to Kanyakumari. Solo and via Bangalore. Total 2100 km trip without a company in 2.5 days. It mostly included superb ghat section of Bangalore Mangalore stretch and Bangalore to Kanyakumari Supersmooth highway. The following problem I faced with this saddlebag:

It made my thunderbird wobble in corners and was slanding down to one side. Correct me if there is some fitment which I missed out while loading the bag. But, I remember a corner in Sakleshpur where it almost touched the silencer. Thanks to the holders at the bottom of the bag, the material of the bag did not touch the silencer.

In smooth highway, it was fantastic. No issues with the saddlebag at all. Since it was mostly night ride, the bag was of great help because of its ability to make itself visible in the night-time. The 3M Scotchlite was definitely a great material used by them to make it visible in the night. A big thanks for that.

Apart from the issue as experienced in the ghat section, it was a great product to use. Coming back with review on the material and its capacity to carry luggages. Let me get out of touring mode and put my thunderbird in middle stand. Coming back soon!!

                                Cheers.
