    Re: Mt blade helmet review

I use an MT Blade boss. It's just a different glossy white paint job apart from which are the same I guess.. The price is also same.

There is no howling noise like the one present while using MT axxis. I had experienced that as my friend has one. In fact I was much impressed with the quality and went for the blade as the axxis was too uncomfortable for me due to the sharp chin area.

Blade is very comfortable and the weight is not felt even on long rides. I managed to do pune to bangalore without any sort of trouble.

The internal sun visor is very good except that it's already a bit loose after 2 months of use, hardly 4 or 5 times. It's my touring helmet and I don't use it for city commutes.

The clear visor is absolutely brilliant that when its clean nd tidy you wouldnt even notice that the visor is shut. It's really top notch and really dont see any visible scratches after 7k kms of use.

I use earphones for attending calls cuz I'm lazy to remove the helmet and talk on phone. Also had to pull up for this. Instead I slow down and tell the person I can't talk nd move on. So it's quite comfortable for me. I don't use in-ear earphones. Just the normal ones.

Ventilation is not that great. But not bad too. Haven't used in the city traffic much though.

    Hope this should help.

One additional Information about this helmet. It saved my life!

Had a severe crash on hyd-pune highway and landed on my head. Was able to walk off without even a minor concussion. This helmet is so sturdy, there were minor scratches and a bit of paint flecked off.
Now it is sitting pretty on a shelf and i've ordered another MT Blade

      Cheers!

The internal sun visor in mine is slightly loose, like it comes a little down when i go over a bump or something, not much just 3-4 mm but it annoys the hell outta me. Oh and its been 2 and a half months of using the helmet.

Same here. I had done almost 6500kms with that in less than 3 months. Also I just use that for touring, i have a LS2 as a daily driver. If its gets any worse then i might try and change it in warranty.

I thought warranty was only for manufacturing defects

Of course, it's a manufacturing defect. There should have been a screw or something to tighten it. We didn't try and break it. It's getting worse on its own way that too in 3 months is not at all acceptable. I agree with wear nd tear but no so soon.

Anybody has leads for a dark/iridium visor for MT Axxis Limited Evo?

I'm not even able to source a plain visor for the axxis. I want one badly! I Checked with the chennai and coimbatore stores.

Oh, that's so nice of you. You have a spare? I had enquired in coimbatore again and they had asked me to wait for 3 more days.
