My friend used first flight once, and had a bad experience. I'm concerned to see that SpartanProGear uses that courier service, but my order has already been placed, so fingers crossed.

    Thanks!
I was worried too but I'd say don't sweat it bro . My helmet arrived just fine and I love it. No internal damage .

Also ordered the smoke visor later which arrived in good condition too!

              Re: Mt blade helmet review

Got this couple of days back.

              Price: Rs 6200
              Store: BikeOpedia, Hyderabad.
              Build: Decent
              Padding: Good
Fit: Mine is XL Size and Fits perfect.

              Pros:

Looks excellent in Matte Finish. There is White color option too, but prefer Black.
Padding quality felt good compared to my old LS2.
Strap material is well padded with CF like inserts.
Dual Visor helps me a lot (Migraine )
              Better ventilation compared to LS2.

              Cons:

Less view-ability compared to LS2. Increased blind spot.
Internal visor does not cover well.
              @ 6200, felt expensive.

Did not notice any wind noise, but will observe keenly next time.

Most of the points you mentioned are the ones which I too felt the same, and I have MT Blade Alpha (Fluorescent yellow color), regarding the internal visor, I decided not to use them at all, not even once, as I also felt they didn't cover properly and also due to the fact that over time it would come loose and so went for a proper dark visor itself, which surprisingly is clearly visible during night time too and regarding the wind noise, it does tend to be on the higher side on highways.

                    Re: Mt blade helmet review

Since this helmet is readily available and a preferred choice for many upgrading from their old and basic helmets i thought ill add my 16 months usage report.

Before the MT blade i used a LS2 phobia. The wind noise is there but if your previous helmet was a cheap one, you'll feel good wind noise isolation at first. it's still good for under 70kph though. the narrow rubber beading that seals the helmet while lid is closed, will get damaged when the helmet gets older and it causes wind noise to seep in. it happens in most of the helmets.

Need to clean the helmet asap

That breath deflector gets damaged pretty soon if you hold the helmet in a way causing it to bend. (my careless friends did it)

As you can see the internals aren't that of great quality, some stitches came undone but none of it affects the safety aspect of the helmet. The best part of the helmet is its padding, like LS2s the padding won't get compressed making the helmet dance in your head.

Mine doesn't have a inner visor and its the version with NFC tag. yes, those stickers are custom :P

Edit: I prefer helmets without inner visor because i feel it makes the helmet less safe( inner visor goes through the otherwise single block of high density foam)

                    Cheers

                      Hi guys,

Following is my 2 weeks usage report for the MT Blade.

Got myself one from "Highway Men", karol bagh, delhi. Very nice and cooperating staff. Offered so manychces but i already had the Blade in my mind. So after a lot of trials, discussions and aching ears, finally got myself a dual color tone, sports series MT Blade. Chose the medium size as was already using a studds shifter XL and felt that the helmet was bigger for me and decided to go for the medium. I was told that the cheek pads and cushions will take a little time to set, so it will be uncomfortable for a little while. Anyways, it was already late evening and i left from the store and instantly what i noticed is that my vision has been somewhat limited by the cushions. In my earlier studds shifter, i would easily look behind from the corner of my eye to see if something is coming or not, but in this one i have to turn my head all the way to be sure of the traffic coming from behind(Don't know whether this is good or not?). Ride home was a little uncomfortable as the helmet was new and i was still getting used to the fact. Anyways, from the next day onwards, i started feeling a sharp pain on the portion above my left ear after wearing the helmet for continous 25 mins and it kept getting worse by the minute and it would relieve instantly as i would take off the helmet. I thought that probably this is the way it is, so still kept going but the pain completely took out the joy of riding. Got in touch with Sagar and he suggested that i come back to the store and figure out something. Went back to the store and came back with an Blade XL this time. The experience after the change has been an awesome one. The fitting of the hemlet is really comfy with a sense of safety. The inners are all washable and can easily be taken out and put back together(Just washed them yesterday only and yes, they can be washed in the washing machine also). Also got myself a Netphone bluetooth fitted on to the helmet which has made the riding experience even better. The Blade has the space for fitting the bluetooth speakers inside and you can easily take a call even while riding(which i don't suggest, for obvious reasons . The call automatically gets answered after 3 rings and it is absolutely effortless. This is much better to the earlier condition where you stop the bike, take off your gloves and by the time you take the call, it gets disconnected. So a blade with a bluetooth is a good combination.

As far as the wind noise is concerned, there is some amount of wind noice beyond 100 km/hr.

Ventilation is pretty good. Don't know whether it is good thing, considering the bone chilling delhi winters, which are just round the corner.

The visor is so clear, that sometimes it feels as if there is no visor at all.

The double D locking system is a little tricky in the start but after a little while one can get used to it.(i feel like an air force pilot while i am walking while taking off my gloves and the helmet)

The designs are pretty eye catchy and gets appreciated.

Only problem I faced with Mt blade is the sunvisor which gets loosen after 6month of daily usage and the nut/screw to tighten it is somewhat round profile and cannot be tighten with common toolkits.
Being white it is prone to dirts and I am just tired of the getting it cleaned in a week.
But, whenever anyone sees this helmet, majority of them asks the price of the helmet and also praises about its edgy looks and superb graphics.
                        Regards
                        Saikat

                                MT Smoked Visor Review

                                Hi Fellow Riders,

I wanted to buy a Smoked Visor for MT Mugello helmet for day riding in city conditions. But i couldn't find any reviews about it on the web.

I decided to buy and write a review by myself.

I purchased the said visor from Spartan Pro Gear from last Saturday for a 1000INR. And it was delivered yesterday.

At the first look, I liked it. But it is much darker than i expected.

I am writing this review right after the commute to the office(at the office desk right now ).

Sunlight visibility is wonderful. It blocks the sun very well.

I will update the evening and night visibility later.

                                Thanks.
