    about mileage

    All,

    I checked mileg 3 times..

    1st check- 46 km
    2nd - 50
    3rd -52

So seems like my average is 50km.

I am going for the 2nd free service on this friday. I dont know the milage is what we are expected for D150. What about you guys?

I ride in Bangalore city, may be that is reason why it is low. pls put your inputs..

Bike performance is good. So far every thing's going smooth.

On first service, they replaced the oil filter. I had asked them to adjust the headlamp length for dip/bright. but they didnt do.

Is there anything specifically to be said, for the 2nd service???

Thanks everyone for helping out clearing the doubts.

Have you completed 5000 Km so soon? What is your daily ride distance and your start and end points?

Riding in stop start traffic drastically reduces mileage to around 50.

I completed 1068 km only.Tomorrow is 2nd service. From today morning, there was some metal friction sound coming from the back wheel part, i am not sure from where it is exactly as the sound comes only when going at 55km above.

Will check the milage once again after service.

In bangalore, my start point is Belandur signal to Brookefield(ITPL road). 10 kms. I dont go via the main road, i take all shortcut roads to reach there. so i beleive that is why it is givnng less milage.

How come second service so soon. Please check your manual to see number of days? Main roads in Bangalore are choked as well, so no difference.

I was in the wrong assumption that the 2nd service is at 1000 km. anyway i read ur last post and then got a doubt and checked the manual. thats saved my travel to the bike service centre next day.. hehe.. thanks ..

i just completed 1600 now. Bike having a critical complaint, not yet shown to the service centre. its making a loud disturbing noice from back wheel (or backside) even on touching 30 km. Not sure what it is. May be i will go tomorrow to service centre to rectifiy it..

Milage i am not checking now.. petrol guage is not working properly it seems so. i put 6 liters two days back. the need was just one point below the full. now it is below half, and the kilomter run is 90 km. i think for me, d150 is not givng the blessing of atleast 50km/litre.

I like the bike very much, always wish to ride more and more.

Milage is 50 km, rechecked again.
Wheel sound complaint is rectified. Everything is perfect now.

I'm hving eurogrip tyres. If the road is slighly wet, applying back wheel is highly risky for emergency. It is skiding like anything. Is there any suggestion to replace the eurogrip to another one which gives more grip in rainly season, in banglaore it is continuously raining.

I have already changed from those crappy tires to mrf zappers. It's really have good grip in wet roads than eurogrip tires.

Ps: My bike is 135cc. Same profile in 150cc too .

I think in bangalore, rain will stop after november.. so not hving an immediate plan for replacing the tyres...

Friends, i just want to check one thing with you all. When i apply disc brake, there is very light sound (like drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr). Are everyone having that??, not sure if a disc brake has thatcommon nature...

                  Thanks!!

It is normal to have that sound. You need to clean your discs of sand and stone pieces.

Ok.. Just noticed one thing during last wash.. Shock absorber is gettting rust.. the place where is rust affected is the point where it fixes to the wheel and chassis... both shocks are having rust in the same place.. i am sure that my bike didnt get much in rain.. but still it is catching rust, is unbeleivable...

i found rust in some other places like the iron bars/crosses in both sides of chassis...

Can i do anything to prevent rust... i feel like to touch with paint on the shocks as it is seriously getting rust.. is that good.? or is there anti-rust coating we can apply...

                      Expecting suggestions from all...

Can you post some pictures? If it is rust, then go to service center and get the parts replaced under warranty.

how do you adjust headlight level? i can't find the screw for that.

Found it, it's below the fairing. something similar to TVS.

                              All,

I was not in bangalore for some time, was in delhi. Regarding the rust problem with the shocks, i have contacted the bajaj auto customer care by submitting the issue online thorugh their portal. Service centre team today contacted me to bring the vehicle for checking up. I will go tomorrow and see what they are going to do, I dont see any other compromise other than replacing the part.. whats your suggestion..

Also there are some places, where the black paint is peeled off and rust is visible. I have informed everything, let us see and will update you guys.

Odmoter is 3600, nearing to the second service. Milage is 50km. When u said 59, Wow, its amazing.. Are you riding in city and getting that milage..? then its wonderful..

Then pls also help me to adjust the headlamp, it is very low in Bright mode even. is it possible to adjust by ourself? I see MotionFreak's update that it's below the fairing. something similar to TVS. But can you explain a bit more to find it exactly where it is and how to do it.

                              Thanks,
                              Ganesh

Yes get them replaced, new bike parts should not be rusting within 6 months. I do ride within city and get the mileage. I am not sure on headlight adjustment. I find it quiet adequate at night.
