I have completed roughly 570kms and today my bike got in reserve after just 545kms of riding.... dats a mileage of 42kmpl from my calculations..... I have mostly ridden in highway conditions and very less in city traffic... have maintained rpm below 4k at al times... speed always between 42-45kmph...... I donot understand wat the issue is....

Anything above 2000rpm @ idle will reduce your mileage,set it to 1500rpm when it is hot.
and see what happens.

If still problem remains,you can tell it @ the SVC.

Sluggishness is because 20W50 oil will take more time to get warm and it is thick oil,So acceleration will be sluggish.
Might be something like clips,you have to pull out the pin from the hole,Seen it in a HH Glamour.
