I was about to run it out of the prescribed milege limit for the first service, so it was a desperate call.

i bought the Hero honda Hunk a few months ago and i have completed 6k kilometers on it, from the last couple of days whenever i ride the bike for say 10 to 15 minutes a strange noise come from the engine..its not annoying but it didnt exist until a few weeks ago....the sound goes like tik...tik...tik...tikkkk....tikk.tik the frequency increases the more i accelarate, any ideas why the sound comes?

As i stated in the last post io got the first service done, so it was time to tke the bike to the speeds above 60 Kmph which i have religiously maintained in the running in period. Results were sheer disspointment, till sixty bike plays the role of city sleeker with perfect ease but a little more twist of right hand and the reality is nasty, vibrations start creeping up from as low as 70 Kmph. I really dont know how long i will be able to survive with it. I think a desperate decision has went badly wrong.

the vibrations will subside by the third service, and dont keep thinking about the vibrations too much, it will only make u frustrated, just take it out of ur mind and then u wont care how much the bike vibrates, and secondy be happy with ur decision of buying the Hunk, it has the best handling in its class, i recently rode my freinds yamaha fz16 and found that even its handling was no match for the way hunk handles especially on the corners

You are right dude, i should not be worried about this small niggle and better try to enjoy the riding experince.Originally posted by absarkhan View Postthe vibrations will subside by the third service, and dont keep thinking about the vibrations too much, it will only make u frustrated, just take it out of ur mind and then u wont care how much the bike vibrates, and secondy be happy with ur decision of buying the Hunk, it has the best handling in its class, i recently rode my freinds yamaha fz16 and found that even its handling was no match for the way hunk handles especially on the corners
And no doubt the handling is superb.

how to get top speed from my 3.5 months old Hunk
i'm hassan from Dhaka, Bangladesh :-)
...
few days ago, i went to a small 200km round highway ride with my 2500kms old HUNK. the top speed i could do is 96-98kmph. the RPM was only around 8K but my accelerator got finished. no more twisting of the accelerator! (i didnt even do any sudden/rapid acceleration)now how could i get more accelerator? i know i've got 2K more RPM and thats enough to get 110kmph but the accelerator going finished. any help will be very appreciated as i'm going on a 800+kms journey from Dhaka to Cox's bazar within 15days of time. thanx

Be happy with that Hunk of yours. I do not see it doing more than a 105 that too on a downhill.- WonderBoy

@Bandhav: You have shifted from one of the best machines the Indian motorcycling industry has seen, ala the Karizma! ANY machine you ride (except perhaps a Unicorn!) would surely seem rough compared to your earlier ride...
P.S: Done any long rides on the Hunk till now?

You have to build the revs slowly as per the pickup of the bike. If you rev a bit faster, the throttle will be over soon, but the bike takes its own sweet time to build up speeds. To rectify this, see that you do around 80 kmph in 4th gear and then shift to 5th gear and give throttle. You will have ample of throttle to build revs from there.Originally posted by master-user View Post95 kmph ok but why the accelerator go finish when still theres 2K more RPM to go
