Coming to your actual concern, no it won't be an issue as long as there is not restriction imposed by the RTO when it comes to registering the motorcycle.

Re: Honda Unicorn
The Shine is a better motorcycle than the Unicorn, for one it doesn't loose momentarily loose compression like the Honda's of the Uncorn era, the ZMA included.Originally posted by hariharan618 View Post

Re: Honda Unicorn
I have 8 solid years of experience with Honda! I have a Honda Shine 2010, didn't had any major issues at all. 60K kms driven till date. 50 kmpl solid mileage. Service center vise we have super cool people who can help and reduce costs. They do respond well in (local) and also we recently got a Honda activa for dad, so hard-core Honda customers. Service ain't a issue. The problem I thought was like govt made ABS mandatory in all bikes. Does it really matter? After 5 years I shouldn't regret getting a bike with abs!Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostNot by a long shot. But if you want a Unicorn you just want it, end of story.
Reasons for not going for the Unicorn;
1. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is by far the best choice you have in the market considering price and performance.
2. Honda service is not up to the mark and expensive, though quality varies with location, but their customer support is still pathetic, try raising a concern via email and you'll get what I'm aiming at.
3. Honda spares are expensive in spite of being manufactured by the same suppliers as other motorcycles.
4. Honda spare availability is still an issue.
5. Honda's pricing doesn't justify the spare quality, in fact it is not at part with the market offering.
6. The Unicorn being one of the classic Honda's come with the same valve-stuck issue that plagues the Karizma, not something you should bear with considering the price you're paying.

Re: Honda Unicorn
Are you still at 2.5 turns? How is it working out?Originally posted by mechravi View Postair filter is brand new.and carburettor is also cleaned.so settled at 2.5 turns.very little fluctions plus no need to use choke during start.
but what can be reasons for fluctuation's.they are not present during acclerating or cruising but while going down hill when we close the throttle fully the rpm shoots to 4k and slight hickups are felt.

Re: Honda Unicorn
just ride without the filter for a km or so, and see if that hiccup disappears.. if it does, it the filter at fault. if not probably the carb tuning, or diaphragm in the carb (the rubber part that looks like a cone .Originally posted by tjsdj View Postclean as new

Re: Honda Unicorn
Michelin has a front and back TL options in different model tyres. Mrf only has rear TL options. Didn't check others yet.Originally posted by rapperswil View PostAre there any Tubeless alternatives that can be fitted to a Honda Unicorn. Cost no concern. If yes, are they available on-line?
