Re: Hyosung GT650R
A Red Hot exhaust tip indicates extremely lean AFR /and also if fuel burns in the exhaust. It can also happen if the Ignition timing is way off the normal TDC setting. If you get frequent back fires, poor FE etc., then check O2 sensor, IAT and MAP sensor functioning. This is best done in the ASC with their diagnostic tool.
Oil in the Air box is normal, but if it is large, then suspect Piston Rings failure/ wear..
If you meant hot and not Red Hot as in glowing Red, for the exhaust, then it is only natural in a 650 twin....I hope you are filling petrol from a reputed place ..Check also the Radiator Fan running , since a sensor failure can up the running temperature.
Good luck. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Thank you it was very informative..Originally posted by psr View PostA Red Hot exhaust tip indicates extremely lean AFR /and also if fuel burns in the exhaust. 1. Yes it was glowing red hot and I changed the fuel injector now and hopefully i have not seen it so far.
2. This has a Yoshimura slip on without any mod to the pipes length. I have ordered for a stock exhaust hoping to reach me in a week let me see if there any back fire after that.
3. I will click the oil leak and send a pic of the same.. It has a sponge for absorbing the oil a black sponge so it is suppose to absorb? I don't know if so then fine I guess. You said more oil leak how do you define the quantity.

Re: Hyosung GT650R
If the Yoshimura is a Free Flowing Exhaust, Then to suit it, corresponding changes must be made in AFR,fueling at different RPMs, ignition etc., ie., the AFR must be made richer, Inlet should be able to supply enough air for increased Exhaust scavenging, and Valve lift should also be increased, along with Ignition timing correction. I am guessing none of this was done on your bike leading to the Red glowing exhaust....Originally posted by ace8furian View PostThank you it was very informative..

Remember stock is always the best for any vehicle, since the designer of the vehicle had thought about all of the aspects and after repeated trial runs had settled on a design Parameter ,which offers the best of functions.
Regarding Oil leak into the Air Filter box, for a 650cc Twin approximately .01 percent of Fuel used is normal....for instance if the vehicle gives 20 Kms per liter of fuel and a 1,000 Km journey is done , then the total fuel used will be 50 Liters. So .01 percent of this will be 5ml. So for a journey of 1,000 Kms 5ml of engine oil in the Air box is acceptable...if it is more then suspect engine /piston rings wear. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Re: Hyosung GT650R - Ownership Thread
Guys, there is an pre-owned hyosung GT650N for sale near me. 2014 model, white, ~15K kms odo, 2nd owner, after market exhaust and frame sliders. Seller quote 2L₹, which is further negotiable.
It’ll be my first mid segment bike.
- is it worth the price ?
- what are the issue I have to search while inspecting the bike ?
- any other bike recommendation ?

I have experience with this bike. Maybe the first post needs to be updatedOriginally posted by krishna6239 View PostGuys, there is an pre-owned hyosung GT650N for sale near me. 2014 model, white, ~15K kms odo, 2nd owner, after market exhaust and frame sliders. DEFINITELY newer technologies in these 7 years.
For 2Lac you have other options availabe out there
May not be the smoothest ride. Be prepared for that if you buy!
Why only 15k kms?
