Go with Metzeler tyre brand. There have been GTR owners who have changed to this tyre brand and are quite satisfied.

Or if at all you can manage to get a Michelin Pilot Road3 / Battalax Stock tyre!

I do tend to do a lot of highway riding on less than perfect roads. No track days on the cards anytime soon. Aren't the metzellers softer compound and don't tend to last long.

Pm me if anyone can source pr3s without breaking the bank

Michelin pr3s are so hard to find at a decent price. And bridgestones the showroom said would be 28 just for the rear..that seems absurd.

How long to metzeller m5's last with normal usage ?

Yes Metzeler tyre are of softer compound. This is a photo of the tyre thread pattern.
Don't know how long the tyre would last under normal usage. The rear tyre cost around 12K but not sure

Mine has run 9.5k and showing signs of wear. Could be due to the fact that once I got a small piece of a nail and air was leaking very slowly that I didn't notice and rode like this for a while. (i.e till I got home, then I saw the leak)

Battalax rear lasts on proper usage upto 13K and front 15 K... It can last even more depending on individuals riding style. Overall one of top class tyres.. Be it on wet dry or semi/completely broken road... Pair will cost you around 30K if you get ot at all... Best IMO is Pilot Road 3... Metzler is good and vfm and relatively cheaper.

How much you're paying... Recently came to know from the B'lore showroom that they've increased the price! It's 24K rear and 18K front. This Hyosung guys are awesome!

Yes they did quote a very high and unreasonable figure the last time I called them. I did some searching and i'm getting mine through a friend. Not from the service centre.

I tried to shame them for quoting double of what the actual price should be, but they are shameless. Or atleast helpless because that is what the company is quoting. Really sad state of affairs.
