Re: Hyosung GT650R - Ownership Thread
Been meaning to ask this question for a while... The RVM's tend to fold in everytime the bike crosses 180k - 200k (Not at he clamp but the socket). This tends to get quite annoying after a while when you're mixing up between sprinting and cruising. Exact same issue with a friend's GT & R6 as well (Stock mirrors). I've had the mirror head nut tightened all the way and the issue returns after a couple of weekend runs.
Has anyone found a solution to this? Are there any recommended after markets which tends to hold steady at those speeds?______________________________________

Re: Hyosung GT650R - Ownership Thread
Hey guyz,
Its been 5 months of riding GT650r.. So far no issues with the bike. loving it to core. There is some good bonding made between us. Just installed GPR exhaust 2 months back. Sounds fine.
There is only one thing that i want to improve since the day I bought this Gt and that the headlights. The visibility is sooooo poor. I found some specs;
ITEM SPECS:
Wattage: 35W
Fitment:
2008-2011 Hyosung Comet GT650R
Kit Includes:
2x Xenon AC HID bulbs (1x H1 + 1x H3- low and high beam)
2x Ultra Slim AC Ballasts
Zip Ties
Please correct me if the above specs are wrong. I'll be taking some time out in a day or two to seach for the same specs locally at karolbagh and get them fitted.
If anyone here got the headlights changed, please advise. Also if there are GT riders from delhi itself, pl get in touch.

One more concern.... Do i have to remove the front faring and side faring to install a hid kit or it can be done withount removing any body part.--

If your just changing the bulbs then there is no need for fairing removal. Also don't go above 6000K xenon HID bulbs.
Here is a pic of my bike with HID lights

Re: Hyosung GT650R - Ownership Thread
AFAIK it's all the same.. They claim the shocks are from Jap brand... Although I din see any branding. The rear seat is firmly fixed unlike the old one. Rest all are same.

Re: Hyosung GT650R - Ownership Thread
Hi guyz,
This week I suddenly noticed the some white color wires emerging from the middle of the rear tyre. I got it checked form the tyre specialist in my area and according to him, it a manufacturer's defect.
Bike details ;
2011 september model
9,200 KMS done
Tyre: bridgestone
location: new delhi
Anyone know will this defect will be covered under any kind of warranty??. And what's the cost of a new rear tyre 160/60/17? Lastly which brand should i go for?
Thanks in advance

My front tyre was changed few after 11 months... Clocked 10K km on that. Had a bulge... Was replaced under warranty. I think you can try to claim warranty...

Just got a Hyosung GT650R..Dream come true!!
Warning: Slightly elaborate post..first one here
Hello All,
I'm Roshan from Bangalore, was a dream to own a SBK from the days when i had a poster of the Busa and Ducati Streetfighter on my wall way back in my school days. To this end i saved and saved, did part time jobs during my Engineering etc. I grew up on a healthy diet of Automobile info, frequent reader of Overdrive,Autocar etc. Have a huge collection of all seasons of BBC Top Gear UK, Owned 2 motorcycles (Both RE thunderbirds..differents versions) and clocked well over 35k kms on them.
Still the dream of one day owning a 600cc+ bike remained. Started working after graduation and after saving up some more finally had enough to pick up a used GT650R.From then on spent 3 days reading this thread from start to end and decided to take the plunge.(Yes i didn't really buy her new..Hope i'm welcome here
).The bike is a Red-Black beauty and looks stunning in that colour in my opinion.
Just picked her up today and what an amazing feeling it is. I did have safety gear from previous bikes and went to pick up the bike all geared up. After the formalities i had a good 60 kms ride on NICE road. I had made up my mind to keepa check on my right hand until a few weeks maybe till i get adjusted to the supersport riding position. Being 6'1 the reach for the bars isn't an issue and quiet comfortable. As decided i decided to not rev the bike hard, then soon realised the bike just sails to 120 and past with barely any throttle input and the revs well in check. well i hit around 140 on a straight empty stretch and went back to cruising at around 100.
I'm new to the Bangalore Biking scene and a shout out to the riders here. I would really like it if i get a chance to participate in open rides on weekends where i may join you guys. Thanks in advance
PS: The hunt for better gear is on. The 650 demands it
. Any inputs in this regard are appreciated
