I'm in desperate need for tires for my gt650r. i have asked the shops in chennai and they do not have the required size.
They can hook you up with a Metzler sportec M3 (Which is pretty slick in my humble opinion) for a little over than 15k for the rear.
Performance is on par with the BT56's and the super soft compound on the sidewalls provides enough grip to let you hit pretty sick lean angles without breaking a sweat.
A pair will set you back 25k.
Cheers!______________________________________

It lists GT 650's Metzler tires at 12K instead of 15k as mentioned by Brat. Have a look there.
Thanks

Congrats Riderx ... Enjoy the devilOriginally posted by riderx View PostHi, This is Prakash.
I got my GTN recently. It was on Deepawali day, to be precise.
Once a dream ... now reality.
I am starting this thread, primarily to share my GTN experience with YOU Bikers.
I haven't been able to make time for riding activities recently.
Work, family & health have been keeping me away from my Korean Dragon.
Well, here I am, on a Saturday night (it is 11:59PM), typing these words.
But, before I move further, in word, if I have to describe this bike, I would use the word,
'MONSTER'
I hope I am not hurting its (or shall I say his, or her) feelings.
I'll explain this more later.
Bye for now.

Hi Ajay,
Unless you are very tall like me, I would advise you to check out the Ninja 650 as well. It is sure to have better overall quality, reliability and resale value. The Hyosung will score higher on sporty ergonomics and sound, but will have lots of little niggles that will require you to visit the service center often. The saving grace is that their after sales service is top notch.

as said by crusoe the 650 has lot of problems which are minor , but will force you to visit showroom every weekend, and surely its not the thing which you want.Originally posted by Ajay Sharma View PostHello XBHP Group,
I am Ajay, recently joined XBHP as I am planning on buying a SBK. I test drove GT650R and I was blown away by the pickup, performance and sound. I am in final stages of finalizing the bike and would really appreciate some feedback or comments from current owners.
Thanks
wait at least for 3-4 months , you might get very good options , like Honda 400cc triplets or who knows 500cc triplets and also couple of other options possibly in 650 segment by the end of the year

But then again if you are tall (6 feet plus) then I'd say that you might as well swallow the irritation of going to the service station once every 2 -3 months, and go for a Hyosung. I feel the Ninja 650 is just too geared towards short riders to be even acceptable to tall riders. The honda 500s given what we are seeing of them, would be better in terms of ergonomics, but nothing close to big bike feel and the awesome torque wave of the Hyosung.Originally posted by nagoo View Postas said by crusoe the 650 has lot of problems which are minor , but will force you to visit showroom every weekend, and surely its not the thing which you want.

im facing some isssue with showroom.
i feel that they [satya-mitra-motors] collected 10k extra for my bike and after making almost 29 calls and physically visiting showroom more than 5 times , still they are not able to give me all the bills like vehicle reg recept/challan which matches the total amount i paid, now question is what should i do ?

Hi Crusoe,
Thanks for your comments, I am 5'7.. I have seen Ninja 650 but looks don't excite me and the engine sound is. Just not what you expect from a 650 CC bike.. So Ninja is out of I don't mind waiting for Honda to launch their 400/500 cc bikes but as per information available its unlikely that launching will be anytime soon..I do agree that Honda will not have the bike bulky bike. Feel which I think at entry segment only GT650R is offering..

I will keep this in mind as one doesnot want to keep running to the service centre every week

. OTR price is 4.7 B'lore. My 2 cents: Reliability first, looks second
