Yes height increase is due to unicorn monoshock.Originally posted by saorabbh View PostDue to unicorn monoshock?
Can you please share a detailed post regarding all the mods and engine swap?
I am also planning to either swap Karizma engine or buy a new bike.
TIA.
The engine swap is not so complicated. The engine fits perfectly . all chassis bolts are direct fit. You just need to make top and back brackets. But wiring is bit confusing. I was lucky that I got guidance from CURSE. His suggestions were very helpful.
Engine swap has made the bike totally different.

Thanks man.Originally posted by xfiasco View PostSuper congrats man for new engine, so seat height increased due to unicorn monoshock? we are eagerly waiting for all details( how much is this increase in height?)
Yes height increase is due to unicorn monoshock.
Actually both the shocks are of almost same height but unicorn shock doesn't settle down like the impulse shock when I sit on the bike. The spring is very stiff compared to stock.
Previously with impulse shock suspension used to settle down as soon as bike was off the side stand. But now suspension doesn't settle even after sitting with a pillon. That's the main issue.
I'll post the details as soon as I finish making questions for upcoming exams.

On this thread I collected somewhere that cbz carb is direct fit.Originally posted by suhail_ssr View PostHi, I need to change my carburettor on my impulse as it's slide getting stuck in one position frequently. Is there any alternative available readily which is a direct fit?

A Unicorn 25/26mm carb (basically a direct-fit), you might want to swap the bottom with the Impulse slide-spring and pistonOriginally posted by suhail_ssr View PostHi, I need to change my carburettor on my impulse as it's slide getting stuck in one position frequently. My carburettor piston has scored and that's the reason it gets stuck. So can't use it again, any other options?Originally posted by Itzli View PostA Unicorn 25/26mm carb (basically a direct-fit), you might want to swap the bottom with the Impulse slide-spring and piston

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Get any CV carburetor from Bajaj, they cost merely around 2.5k.Originally posted by suhail_ssr View PostMy carburettor piston has scored and that's the reason it gets stuck. So can't use it again, any other options?
Or you could even give round slide VM carburetors a shot, the VM28 costs under 1.5kMotorcycling Experience:

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
None of the stock motorcycles come with a flat slide as its for performance oriented use.Originally posted by suhail_ssr View PostFlat slide, where can I find one, for which bike was it made?
If you're thinking of keeping it stock go for a Bajaj carb that matches your Venturi size and then swap the jets if they're not already jetted the same.
If you would like to get into modding then you could source round slides OEM from Royal Enfield and replica round/flat slides from Aliexpress.Motorcycling Experience:

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Hello all,
after a month i dragged my Impulse out of the parking this morning. Had a crash last month since then bike was left unused.
the damage was done. My front wheel was out previously but now after the impact the front rotor disc is now bent.
after I pulled the lever, the lever moved to and fro during braking.
results rotor is bent.
Does anyone know where I can get the stock front rotor disc here in Pune or Mumbai?
Or
is there any alternative for this like Hunk or Xtreme spare parts that can be direct fit on the impulse?
Suggestions are welcome.
TIA."The Answer, My Friend,
