Is there still any place in India where we can get all spare at a time, so that we can stock it for future, last week ran from one dealer to another for cone set, on phone they will deny even hearing such bike( what impulse), but if you go physically to spare section they will check and help.
mine is also due for replacement. I enquired hero ASc here in Siliguri And they told me if I order the monoshock paying advance it may take around 15 days to get it. and the price including nuts is around 7500 . so I decided not to order. sadly the shock is non repairable. so I will try out unicorn's or fz's monoshock which is much cheaper and can be repaired if need arises in future. I will update you guys once I get it done.

Thanks ningsf!1, I will wait for your update.
I reached to Pune folks (The spares - URL which which rushikesh sent) and they too have lot of Impulse spares, mono shock is Rs 7000 there too.
Please check Deelip menzis blog, they put a FZ shock in Impulse during their Sikkim ride.

thanks for the info on fz's shock. but as per the video it seems fz's shock is not a direct fit and seems like a temporary solution. so maybe unicorn's shock is the only option left.

No you need to increase the length of the suspension mounting screws so that it matches the height of stock one's.

thanks for the info bro. how can that be done please elaborate. so you mean that the unicorn 's shock is shorter than the stock shock. what parts do I need to make it of equal heights? is it too complicated?

What I'm trying to say is, the lengthy part of this below monoshock is variable as my mechanic said. The unicorn shock has short one. To fit it on impulse u have to swap that screw with longer one.Click image for larger version

Go for MRF Mogrip for rear.
Outstanding performance on road and offroad.
                  And wet road as well.

yep I too agree about the mogrip. Its an excellent tyre and the thread lasts much longer too. Ralco is also a good option though, but the thread dosent last longer.

Sorry bro. Was quite busy with engine swap project. Thanks to #curse for his guidance and support .now engine swap is completed just few wiring issues left.
As for the monoshock I have managed to fit unicorn monoshock. I'll provide details soon.

Went for a testride from siliguri to Darjeeling hills after the engine swap and monoshock change. The bike is running fine and power has increased a lot. With impulse engine where I needed 1st gear the Karizma Engine pulls effortlessly at 2nd and 3rd gears. Drivability has improved a lot. Only issue is the seat height which is now bit higher for me. Can't put both feet down so feeling bit difficulty to drive. Click image for larger version

                                Due to unicorn monoshock?
Can you please share a detailed post regarding all the mods and engine swap?

I am also planning to either swap Karizma engine or buy a new bike.

                                TIA.
