Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Usually it isn't the kms ridden that determines the tightening of tappets but the way it was ridden. Also its not a hard and fast rule that one needs to tighten tappets every some x kms after. Listen if there's some tick-clicking on idling or throttling near the cylinder head. If not that inclined consult a mechanic.Originally posted by omkappoor999 View Postcan someone tell me after how many kms i need to get the tappet of my bike tightened?
Usually tappets are left a little which tends to sound a little. Irritating it is but is the perfect setting. Hard to digest one has to live with it. Over tightening the tappets because of the sound coming from the same may tend to a engine breakdown. Do consult a mech.
How many kms on the odo btw?Last edited by Ankitvile; 05-20-2017, 02:22 PM.Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Hi, does anybody use a tank bag on an impulse? The tank bags ive seen is very big and makes it hard for the pillion to sit lavishly. I'm planning on a 3 day trip, any suggestions on what all to be done to the bike ?May the sun rise infront of me,
the rain fall behind me and the wind follow me.
May the angels guard my travels for they know what's ahead of me.
Keep me safe through rolling hills, swirling turns and bad roads.
Let the moon's light guide me through the night.
Lord, thank you for letting me a Biker.
Amen.
Ride:- Hero Honda Impulse (present) , Tvs Apache RTR180(2015-17)
Gears:- Shiro SH336 Carbon Helmet || Aspida Helios Jacket || Rynox Advento Pants || TBG Sport Gloves

Naah. Precisely for 2nd hand there are none. Although you can get some of that or helped out for at the same place owned by Pyare Lal'sOriginally posted by omkappoor999 View Postalso do you know any second hand spare parts dealer in doon??
Cramster. Used it for an year or so. Good magnetic bag, doesn't take a lot of space but it hampered a lot of maneuverability for me especially while at offroads. Stopped using it thereafter and I ride with a small backpack now. 20L it is, enough to enclose all the essentials.Originally posted by spartacus69 View PostHi, does anybody use a tank bag on an impulse?Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Is it just me or someone else with his/her Impulse with 35-40+kms on the ODO has it's rear suspension working not as good as new. I mean the damping has worsen now overtime and I realised this when I pushed the rear suspension in and released it. The way my Impulse does is that the suspension goes in dead lethargically with no inherent stiffness that the spring and damper possess.
When i compared the same with a new Impulse around I noticed a significant difference. Although the suspension works fine still with no problems whatsoever but I'm pretty sure its hampering the riding characteristics of the bike.
PS : New suspension is worth 7-8000rs last i heard.Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/
