Hi,
It's Iridium IX CR8EIX.
Plugs are not always made specific to motorcycle models, I believe compatibility matters and so far this model has been used in vast variety of 150+ CC bikes.I would like to tell you that engine firing at low RPMs have become even more smooth, on idle mode I cudnt hear the sound of engine.Last edited by burnoutdee; 08-19-2013, 10:47 PM.

I had an intuition that you are referring to this when asked me abt model of plug, I have done my homework. The stock plug that comes with Impulse is also not mentioned on their web site so that doesnt mean that Hero has no idea what they have put in their bike; as I stated earlier its the matter of compatiblity. Besides that, spark plug has an Iridium tip which is great performer as hot and cold plug, given the research and development, design and manufacturing of the product is good, it will not cause harm. So chill!

1.I bought this plug at a store - Asian Auto parts, S.V Rd, Kandivali West.
2. The plug is superb, enough said. U gotta experience its performance!
3. They call it "speed" cable - it's a low resistant cable which transfers lossless current to spark plug but unfortunately, Impulse's cable is integrated with coil
so he had to cut the cable at end n then join it....it wouldn't have made any sense to cut a good cable n connect other one so i let it be. Stock cable is working good with plug.
I went to Daman today at 7 AM n came back by 2 PM. Touched104KMPH, no shakeups whatsoever apart from an occasional windblast, bike's flawless at topspeed.
No rattling, no vibration, no uneasy sound from engine!

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Hi guys,
I made a solo trip to Moti Daman Fort, it's 160 KMs from Malad. I moved out at 7AM n reached there around 9:45AM. Went to famous Bom Jesus church, Holy convent where another old church was there which was bombed during WW2 & still is in ruins in the campus of the convent. I also went on the wall of fort, pretty amazing view of new & old light house and the colony of fishermen along the coast. There was no traffic on highway apart from trucks n trailers...lots of them. Since its "Raksha Bandhan" today, people weren't travelling it seems. I enjoyed riding my little bike amongst all those monstrous, lazy, lane changing trucks. It was a beautiful feeling to drive in nice n cloudy morning on widespread highway, for the first time I ripped my bike n touched 104 for few seconds...repeated couple of times but wind was playing foul. Since this bike is tall and is not a great windcheater even when I bowed down wind was still hindering the pickup (since it was rainy morning). I was fully geared n rode responsibly, I dont want to be the reason for people to give bad name to bikers. Here are a few images for u guys.
Distance: 320 Km to & fro
Total time taken including site seeing - 7 hours
Moti Daman fort area - Entrance
Historic monument.
Bombed church in school campas.
Old n New lighthouse
Finally, my bike!

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Hey buddies, a couple of pics to show the practicality of the Paddock stand I made. This washing center is close to my place so I took my stand there and they could wash without issues, they use to complain alot for Impulse have no main stand. It made their job easy!!
See how she looks after washing and waxing!

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
yes bro... my impulse is facing the same tick tick sound from the front forks..its a manufacturing problem.( my friends too facing the same)..i think the T fork fork is not fitted properly or there is a gap between t fork and its bearing..thats why T fork bearing is not sitting itself properly ...that gap makes this noise.....i am not sure...but i think so..... (just put ur impulse on a srong centre stand...(no need to remove the front wheel and forks) and just pull two forks slightly up using two hands...u can feel the gap and hear the same sound)....dont worry about what people say....who cares them....every bike has its plus and minus....even if u have the bikes worth 12 lakhs(harley davdson).. the same happens......have u heard the story of harley davidson bikes???just have a look harleys designs....the people who owns this bike cannot ride this bike more than one hour due to the heavy heat directly applies to the riders thighs......and they even have to spread thier tighs far away from engine side.(they even cannot sit properly due to this ).....so dont worry about how many impulse u have seen on the roads but just be proud of ur bike......have a great ride.....Originally posted by Sarfarazkarim View PostBought this bike 15 days ago since then I am hearing a sound from the handle or 'T' when ever i hit the speed breaker or a small pot hole. I went to the showroom and told them about this problem, the mechanic told me to get it done on the first service. I went to apex automobiles in patparganj Delhi for my first service i told them about the problem on the delivery they told me that they have adjusted the 'T' I took the bike for a ride in the afternoon to check the sound. THe sound remained the same. I have been to the service center multiple times. But still the issue is not resolved. On top of that the manager says that this is a known issue in ZMR and Impulse and cannot do anything.
I reached out to the query page but nor response. Got a call yesterday from somebody by the name Madhusudhan, mobile number +918860477588. And he said that bring the bike today. Today when I went to show the bike, what he said was really a shame coming out from the manager. You should have not bought this bike how many impulse you have seen on road? Is this the way you treat your customers?
Does anyone has any solution to stop the sound coming from the front? I have already adjusted the 'T' twice but still the problem persist.
Hero is a shitty company and i will not recommend anyone to buy any product.Last edited by husqvarna; 08-22-2013, 03:10 PM.
