Hi! This is my first post on xBHP.
Gyro: I tried sending you a PM, but looks like I don't have the permission to do so yet. I'd really be interested in buying the big bore kit from you(if not already sold yet). If you could PM me the price and your contact details, maybe I could take them of your hands.

I'm going to buy the impulse within a month (collecting funds), and definitely will need more bang for the buck!!

    Thanks

      Hi joeantony...
I own a green impulse too and I completely agree with your opinion. Yes alot of people are scared of its saddle height. I too was before buying it as i am omly 5'5" but trust me after couple of months it became a part of my body and now I really enjoy its saddle height. One more thing as soon as you get on to it the smooth suspension of impulse makes it easy to touch your feet to the ground. I can comfortably put one foot down and I think thats what is sufficient. It dominates our poorly maintained roads with its plush ride and practical approach. I think hero moto corp guys should read this forum and bring an updated and more powerful impulse in the market with premium features.

      Love, light and peace.

(near Main bazaar road --> Zangsti Road and Changspa Road)

        ------------

Since mine was less than a month old and yet to get even first service, din't take mine.
However will definitely take mine next year or 2015 for my second trip.

its better to take your bike than take a rented one.. just a suggestion..
        Hi huntersvk...

Thanks buddy. Yes I agree. I will be taking my own impulse to laddakh. I look forward for seeking more advice from you guys who have already been there.

Some pics of me doing a trip to Shivneri fort (Junnar) via Malshej ghat on 26th of August
We started of from Mira Road and went via Ghodbandar road on to NH 222.

Roads are in a very bad condition at many places. Took us nearly four and a half hours to cover 160kms.

Thanks to the suspension I didnt have much of an issue even on bad tarmac

What kind of info are u looking upto?? pls elaborate.

The bike did very week on the roads. Initially i had some very bad mileage, Im not sure of the reason. Lost about 350 bucks of petrol in 130kms. Once i refilled i didnt have the issue again. Was experiencing some lack of pick up while riding in Junnar on the 3rd and 4th gears, not sure why. I guess i needed to reduce the fuel supply.

Accelerating up slope is a complete delight. Makes you give a wide smile when u look at other bikes.
Cant bank much on wet roads on the ghats but cant blame the bike, its not built for it i guess.

Over all Malshej is a very beautiful place to ride during the rainy season. Words cant express the exact beauty and elegance of this place

I think the Fazer performed best on the winding ghats because of its wide tyres, apart from the ghats all the bikes were upto the mark. No bikes faced any issues in trying to keep up.
But on the potholed roads only one bike ruled. Hahahahaa

                        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Ya Im from Mira Road. Its like the whole place is like an off road track. People move on the roads like cattle.

When my frnds saw me ride on the roads here they told me that my bike is worth the buck.

                            You mean covering the engine..
My engine is not covered. Only the Fazer and the two Unicorns were covered. The fazer guy told me that the fairing makes the air flow around the engine so he had no issues. I dont know about the unicorns
