I can certainly relate to it; mileage fluctuates like crazy....again as Vinvk said it might be the fuel quality or petrol pump attendant messed with it. That's why to identify the actual mileage I learnt to work on CARB n also made this "Mileage Tester" its a 100ML marked bottle. If ur bike runs 5KM on 100ML then it means that u'll get approx. 50KMPL. (again it depends on riding conditions n style) In my case, I tested the mileage 4 times..2times on Saturday after tuning air fuel ratio on CARB i got 5.4 both times at peak traffic - 6PM main road. Since i was getting little vibrations when accelerating the bike, I tuned the carb again n tested twice - 1st ride - 5.3 n 2nd ride 5.7 after filling the air 32PSI in rear n 28PSI in front tyre it improved the mileage.

P.S. Clean the chain and DO NOT fiddle with carb unless u r 1000% sure cos if u mess up then ur bike will be in great trouble.

Rode Impulse up the staircase... It went up with ease, it was on top before i could even realize; i was amazed at its torque.

          U r welcome buddy!

I removed the stickers using finger nails, did it very gently as it gets torn very easily, after removing I used thinner to remove gum.

Black scoops wud look good but I deliberately left it silver as combo looks great.

          I'll share the image.

Great information you have shared with us.... Thank you so much for that.
I don't wanna mess up with carb coz I don't know basics in that anyway it's time for second service now so will talk to the ASC manager about the issues in bike.

And I lubricated the chain only once in 3 months span and within 3 days it is back to normal state Please advice the procedure how to clean and lubricate the chain and tell me do you use GREASE or OIL to lubricate.

              Thanks

It's my pleasure bro, don't thank me I have learnt all from here only.

I get the chain pressure washed first, then bring it home wipe it thoroughly with dry cloth to clear water n grime of oil. Once it's clean, I apply chain lubricant - Rolon. It says apply every 500kms, but apply it as n when I feel the chain's dry.

Avoid grease it will ruin the chain as it attracts n hold dirt, which make chain heavier n damage sprockets as dirt will create friction. If u want to use oil then go specifically for 90W gear oil(any brand).

Is it a good idea to have no air passing through the crashguard . Will it not hamper the aircooling to the engine ?

Don't worry buddy, there's a big hole in middle of it. No air blockage.

ID:	1854333 hai friends ...my impulse fitted with a bullet electra mud guard.its .no mud and water is thrown on the face of impulse owners and gives strength to both forks in the middle...yes it lacks the sports feel...but practical...invites advices..thank u

whats the problem if you fit air filter out side...it sucks water too...and directly injects to engine....when it gets washed or ride ur bike on rainy seasons ...your bike engine may get collpsed.if you want to feel that roaring sound...fit this air filter under the seat using a connection pipe to the carburettor.
