Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Cost is 500 odd rs per litre for full synthetic oil, which in my book is pretty cheap.
Performance wise it is an improvement. I feel the acceleration and engine power boost. Will keep posting updates here.

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
A friend of mine have installed angel eye projector HID on his impulse, does not need a battery replacement. However some re-wiring needed to be done (headlight converted to DC) so that HID would work.
Basically HID runs off your battery anyway (it needs DC), it is permanently connected there. Then there are relays that switch on the light and control hi/low beam, these relays are triggered by current that is sent to headlight plug (when you turn the switch on/off or hi/low beam). However stock impulse sends AC to the headlight, and relays don't "understand" it, they don't get triggered. So first you need to "convert" your bike to DC in order for most HIDs to work.
There were some cheaper HIDs that did not require conversion, but be ready for it just in case.
Its not a complicated task and your mechanic should be able to do it.
Enjoy

Its a manufacturing defect I think so correct me if I am wrong many bikers are facing the same problem I think this may be the region hero stop the production of impulse
They changed my cone set also but still no improvement
And they also damage 1 of my hard rubber like seal under the T lower side
Its better u stand on their head while changing cone set.
Try your luck bro

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
If you read earlier posts, you will see many owners of Impulse face same noise coming out from steering column. So far nobody was able to positively identify the problem. Some say coneset, some say forks, some even say break pads. I have not tried any of the solutions myself mainly due to inability to put time into it. The "tak-tak" sound has become the trademark of Impulse, along with rider's mud-covered legs during the monsoon.Originally posted by siddhant9850 View PostHow did u solve ur prob tej

Apart from this, Impulse is still a great bike in my book, few upgrades and improvements would be nice, but for stock bike its real great.
