Beware of mechanics who will point to piston, bore, clutch plates, etc. I changed clutch plates 6k kms ago to solve this problem but no improvement.
This is the exact problem which I am facing now. Can you be more specific about why it is caused?? Or what exactly is happening?? The workshop guy told me that its something wrong with the air piston in carburetor

After the class I came back and took the bike. I switched it on. Idled it for some time because the engine was cold. Then I shifted to first , started moving. Then I noticed that the bike is showing some problems. The bike is showing some lag when accelerating. Mostly feels like the front pad is stuck in the disc. Then I stopped and checked both wheels by spinning them. There ws no problem. Then I started off again and its showing the same problem. The bike is accelerating rely slow even when I open the throttle full. Even in 5th gear the bike barely makes it to 40. The engine heats up fair bit. The issue still persists. Can somebody please help?? does anyone know what happened??

check ur rear brakes or try to loosen it a bit. Even a slight drag can heat up the brake pad and grip the drum, this might also result in reduced performance. It happened once in my enfield. I noticed only after the burning smell and smoke from brake drum.

U can check this too apart from carb

Hi man its usually the rubber diaphragm in the carb collapsing,it gets weak over use .On my bike it usually happens when its cold or when i am climbing ghats but got rectified by replacing the diaphragm.I used to stop the bike in neutral with engine running and twist the throttle for about 1cm or 2cm in rapid successions until i heard phat sound from the carb.It is very annoying when this happens .Once i rode 30kms of ghats in this condition . And I also think that moisture is also playing some role in this problem. This is the only real problem i have had with the bike workings. The tak tak sound from the front end also exists in Honda NX BRO , so I have heard.

The issue solved today. It was the vaccum piston. It got stuck because it got wore off. Now I am facing a shock leak. Have to change shock oil and shock seal. Anybody knows the price of shock seal and oil??

Guys can't find pulser 135 rear mud guard for rain jugad on impulse as suggested on page numbers 135-136. Went to a bajaj service center and also few local dealers but could not find it anywhere. I thought only impulse spares are hard to find...

Did you replace it? How much was the cost?

Stock Ceats hands out the best I'd say. They are pretty tough and all condition ones they are. Tubeless ones wont fit Impulse's rim.
