Impulse costs 55,000 on road! Just get it as a second bike if you already have an RE or large cap bike.
wow thats really gr8 to hear a trip to North east and Bhutan, expecting pics and a travel log soon :-)

guys, anybody know whether aftermarket front disc rotor is available for the Impulse?? I'm tired of waiting for a genuine spare, it's been 42 days since I asked the dealer for one, and all I'm getting is "we'll get it by next week"

No it's not the same. Other hero bikes have disc on the right side and impulse has on the left.

Shouldn't a disc rotor fit on the left or right side?? I guess it should.

guys what is the exect quantity of engine oil required in impulse. i poured in 1ltr and when measured its on the low end mark of the dip stick.

also i can see some amount of oil or water in air filter drain tube. is it normal?

a little wobble on rear tyre. will get it checked at ASC during next service. but will have to topup engine oil again. will have to buy a new bottle for just 100 or 200 ml of oil.

manual says 1.2 ltrs on one page and 0.90 ltr on other.

                        Hello brother,
I had a similar issue with my pulsar, can be many reasons.
-I suppose there is a crank breather tube that connects to the air filter box now if that tube has oil then you could have worn piston rings (unlikely) or a jammed breather tube or valve.... do you use a lot of engine braking? That can also be the cause to spew oil in the air filter box
                        - did you oil the air filter with a lot of engine oil? (Unlikely)
                        - do you see any white smoke in higher rpms?

Try filling the new engine oil (1 ltr) then with the ignition off kick the bike 5 times,.. now check the dip stick.
Keep the bike on main stand while doing al this,

What was the quantity of the oil you drained?
Engine oil quantity for cbz, unicorn, hunk etc is 1.2 liter in many places and 1 liter in many. 1 litr is what i would do personally ...Too much oil and it will blow gaskets and too less is even more harmfull,,,, try to get the oil between the max and minimum, 1000ml should see you there.
since not all the engine oil is drained out during a drain.
I dont think it should show less on the dip stick please check again.
                        Check oil before pouring in.
I once bought a bottle of fake castrol oil
Not only was it low quality and thin and fake it was around 850 ml!

                        divyansh....

                          hi divyansh.

yes i will check oil tomorrow morning the way u suggested and if its still at the low mark then ill buy a new bottle and put 100 or 200 ml to bring it to the upper mark.
yes i poured 1 ltr today and drained almost the same quantity. i change oil every 1500 to 1800 kms. i am using mineral oil till i complete atleast 10000kms and right now i have clocked 7000.

i went on a long highway ride of 300 kms and rode on high rpms. manual says that we have to drain airfilter tube in regular intervals especially more frequently when riding on high rpms and roads with lot of dust.
that may be the reason for oil or water like thing in air filter drain tube.

Anyways brother I think that disc should be same on the left or right since.... the mounting holes on the cbz and hunk are a little extended towards the left....now when you flip that disc and vring it to the right it should have same extension towards right now.

The company website says all three (impulse/hunk/xtreme) uses 240mm discs, but they seem drastically different visually
