Re: Long term review of impluse
Yes, you were right and thanks for sharing this first line "Forget this dealer" and this is exactly what I did today. Drafted a nice detailed email about "Spectra Auto" Team to the Senior Management of Hero MotoCorp and today morning their Western Territory Head called me from Pune, asked me to Go to Spectra, get the full Refund and further visit the Panvel Showroom of theirs and select the Fresh Bike which is not even run single Km. So yes, Got my refund from Spectra Auto, booked a Fresh new Black Impulse today at Panvel and I am confident to receive the delivery on next week's Wednesday. Hero MotoCorp has supported me and am grateful to them as they also told me the same thing - "Why did you accept a bike whose Odometer Count was 93 Kms.?" Anyway, we learn so I learnt.Originally posted by Babu Tunk View PostForget this dealer!
Find another dealer even if it is far for where you stay, for more details on production you can check with customer care, numbers available on website. Good luck and all the best!
By the way, I will getting the Knuckle Guards & the rear back bolt unit covered too this time. Now I think, I am feeling quite happy with the overall deal. Thank you all for your best wishes and trust me I am very grateful to all of you who have shared tips, advice.
My next posts will certainly be with few pictures of my Black Beast next week. Cheers!Using Tapatalk

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
I am not concerned about the power of the bike because I am a commuter. I goes for ride occassionaly. my bike has only done nearly 9k kms in 1 and half year. I am working on ther looks of the bike. we all know the impulse is a head turner. but I am looking for something different. to turn this bike from its dual sport look to a motocross beast. still it should be legal beast. I am talking about changing front fenders, new rear fender, new visor and headlamps handguards and a really good exhaust note. I am experimenting on all this. guess you guys will help me with this.

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
hi folks, I got a 1000km old Impulse bought in Feb 2014. I notice that the 2nd gear does not lay down the power smoothly on the road as much as 1st and 3rd gear. When accelerating in 2nd gear the engine spurts / jerks a bit ...and the throttle response is poor. I notice this much when accelerating hard from traffic lights. The gear change is smooth...however, I experience the issue when letting go off the clutch - so I suspect a clutch issue...... I am not sure what the issue is - perhaps something to do with clutch plates / springs? I am planning a long ride in the hills and believe 2nd gear will be the most used (abused)... so I want to check this and sort out the issue before traveling.
I had this issue in small magnitude when new... but seems to have increased a bit now. I had a cbr250, so thought it to be a lack of power.... but now that I have gotten used to this - I m having my fingers crossed.
any pointers? anyone experienced similar issues?
