Just get a hydraulic bottle jack below 1 ton.. take the top of thr hydrauluc jack and weld it to a plate wider than normal... next detach it from the hydraulic lifting rod(mostly one bolt but can vary with design) and carry the two pieces separately.. one can go on to the rear weight carrying thing on the impulse and yhe bottle javk can be ziptied the saree guard or some place. Voila. Just my 2 cents

I thought of a hydraulic jack, however the weight and size is factor. If I am on the road carrying my luggage, etc, then added weight and space of a jack is a problem.

A bottle hydraulic jack is about 7 kg here and there and is the size of about a 2liter+ colddrink bottle(a wee bit larger). Easir solution? get a main stand for a bike... weld in longer legs and then put a shorter one at the base. bike can be placed on top of this below the engine area...

Thanks for the info on the jack, will definitely look into it. And the center stand with extra legs is a brilliant idea that is worth exploring.

On second thought, center stand with ONE extra leg (to make it like a tripod) is good enough to act as a "stool" for emergency wheel removal, be it front or back. And its light enough to carry around too.

Like my friend used to tell me - "you can do great things when WE put our minds to it." LOL

Ok so you can laugh at me for this design but I wanted to help.

What you will need - metal tmt bars (cheap, strong, easy to get and work with)
A welder,
A few bolts (large ones)

Now, look at the abpve picture and co relate with the following key and try to understand.

Side view:-
1) u shaped holders that can slot beneath the footpegs or turn them sideways and they can sloth into the chassis tubes. (put foam on them if you want to prevent scratches on the bike), these can be made by bending a metal rod.

2) bolts welded at the bottom of the stand to prevent slipping and sinking into mud etc.

3) this is the arm behind the 2 main arms. It sort of provides the support much like a conventional stand or tripod. But its not a tripod

Side view:-
4) cross members between the two main structures to maintain rigidity and structural strength.
5) side leg as seen on all main stands to help put the bike on main stand by holding it down with your foot.

Note:- ultra timepass design, drawn in a very crowded bus ride st the back seat... shit handrwriting and bumpy ride , plus I dont draw too well. Hope someone can fabricate this. I will make a smaller template soon... and post using match sticks

Bro, this is EPIC design, hats down!
Brilliant idea! I don't know abt everyone else, but I see potential use here.

I like how you implemented a "side leg" so that one person can put it up on a stand without assistance.

My only question is, could it go under the belly of the beast or must it be on foot pegs? Driver's foot pegs I assume, right?

Also the angle should be such so that is does not fall. Meaning main stand should be more upright by making the arm 3 shorter. Get what I am saying?

It can be measured in such a way to go under the belly of the beast easily.. or the c section can go under both the front rider footpegs(part that dosent fold) .. depends on you entirely! Benefit on the footpegs is it will get a wider stance so will be generally more stable and will allow you to work on the engine aswell but benefit on the engine belly would be it will have a stiffer larger surface to hold on to. Upto you now!

Yes exactly the main stand should me more upright! And 3 should be shorter... sorry for the crap drawing though
