And if you go offroading then they will protect you from occasional brushing from shrubs and branches of trees during trail riding
How much will it cost to buy one? and where can I get one of those

Finally i completed 3300kms in impluse(black) with 2 services got over...

the tak tak sound in front cant be repaired , its just sounds less after 2000-2500..

and about the gear slipping i found out that "when u are in 5th gear and suddenly apply ur both the brakes hard without shifting gear to lower ones it slips (ofcourse not to neutral but it is difficult to identify in which gear i am)"

i am getting a mileage of 38-40 (city limits) and if i am stuck in traffic i do off roading by taking the bike on footpath.... and sometimes hard driving too due to traffic nonsense...most off the time i'll be in 3rd or 4th gear.....if ur able to go 5th gear its boon in this bangalore traffic....i think if i can drive noramally i can get 45kmpl easily.

Works like a charm. It holds the tire irons, hand pump, all required ring spanners, tape n some waste cloth.

Tested during last weeks off-road ride to the quarry with Rajith n Ravi.

              • Very nicely done, Bharath. This is useful and blends right in. I don't own an Impulse (yet) but find this very appealing and aesthetic. What pump do you have in there?

Please post further details on the fabrication bit.

                            • The bike behaved brilliantly in the leh terrain. I just got the wire in the carb (main jet) mod done from a local mech. costed 100/- to put and 20/- to remove. it did not feel underpowered after that and was climbing the passes comfortably. it cud actually be one of the fastest indian bike in that terrain all thanks to the grippy tyres , awesome suspension and great steering-seat-pegs geometry. All this with brilliant comfort throughout the 3200 km ride.

on the highways i was doing 90-100 mostly , which was fast enuf for our roads.

there was no breakage of any panels or losening on worst off road conditions too. the entire bike held up really nice at the end of the ride.
