  • Or you could fabricate something like this, which i would suggest instead of trying to install a centre stand for the impulse

Thank you very much for your advice. i i will definitely try to use to pillion footrest for lifting the rear wheel and thus lubing it or in case of puncture.

hey is there any separate screws and bolts for fitting the knuckle guard to the bike? I've installed the knuckle guards with stock bolts and screws at the SVC but the thing is after each trip of riding the left knuckle guard becoming loose and so the clutch lever thus can't ride safely as the gear changing isn't smooth for that reason and have to tighten the screw after i came back home it happening every time.the right knuckle isn't fixed it's moving as I'm pressing the brake lever.is that all normal? what to do? should i change the screwes in the svc or get rid of knuckle guard and go back to stock fittings?

There isnt any seperate [longer] bolt and screw given from the company to fix knuckle guards. I advice you not to fit them especially if you are doing off road and trail riding until you find proper bolt and screw . BTW check out Adam Reimann video of Himalayan adventure, he is using some other kind of knuckle guards.

            • Its amazing here at fort point motors, svc, I am here right now, my service coupon from the booklet says, clean oil centrifugal filter, and clean oil, strainer, as two separate things, here they are saying, there is no oil filter in the bike, there is only one filter, they showed me a square wire mesh sort of filter on the clutch side housing, which I believe is oil strainer and not the filter, so is it that there is no oil filter in the bike, at all, and the service booklet coupon is wrong, the svc guys are saying there are many things in the booklet that are actually not there on the bike, please advice and let me know if there is any oil filter, and where is it placed so that I can go to a local mechanic and get it cleaned/changed.

                Hey,
There is not oil filter in Uni/Hunk/CBZ/Dazzler and now Impluse as all these bike share the same engine.
Its only centrifugal filter and oil strainer that needs to be cleaned.

No, thats not what I meant. Every stand has to have a stop, something to rest on when it is raised. If you do plan to fix a centre stand the only option you have for a stop is a bracket from the pillion footrest.

when i brought the knuckle guard spare parts center people told me that they don't have the required spare parts and screws so i went ahead with the stock ones.. i might remove them if similar problem again occurred...I've checked out the teaser of Adam Reimann video of Himalayan adventure do you have the full adventure link?

My honest opinion; if you want to do all the mods you have in your mind you should just swap your bike for another make/model which already has these.
