Bro I noticed that he also wrote "Husqvarna" on fuel tank n put the mudguard to make it look more like his profile pic husqvarna bike that's y he also removed the No. Plate.

Nothin wrong in doin so, it's his own bike but then its not right to teach others about something that one doesn't remotely understand himself. Just like they all say "No hard feelings bro"!

Yes i completely agree with u bro as its his own bike. but u should also agree dat who ever wat suggesting not to remove the mudguard was just to make it look perfect (without knowing he was such a hardcore off-roader)......

if he had told he had been doing this hardcore off-roading then i dnt think anybody would have told anythng abt it.........

Rite???

ID:	1854542ha ha u were laughing ...i was not trying to teach bro....it was my riding experience ..i simply said it which u didnt like it..its ok...but fitting a cardboard or plasitc to protect from mud and making a hole in the centre was ur the practical way..if u love dirt and water....it should have been avoided ...why u did it ? there was a problem..thats why... but u really dont know what is consequence of blocking a four stroke engine..that small hole is not enough to cool the engine if u do long journey(sorry i am not teaching u bro) and very soon u will have to change your vehicle name from Impulse to " burn out dee" as you profile name suggests.. instead of doing that i just fixed a steel mudguard thats all......i also strengthened the chassis with extra welding which i forgot to mention earlier...which u may also dont like.....one more thing..i was trying to make the label husqvarna to get a real feel like what saw in my profile pic....whats wrong with it.....when removed d both plastic sides..there was sticker gap....thats why i did it...one more....i bought this bike second hand...i was not the first owner..after buying it i changed its look....i was planning to buy a new one....later i came to know that no parts were avilable even chain and sprocket..even today too....thats why i decided not to take a new one spending 78000 rs.(no single parts of impulse available from hero show rooms..and we all r going to get screwed)....u may consider this post ..post of the century......thank u ......

I ride within city limits that too not more than 20KM at a stretch so u can imagine the level heat i should be worried about. Its not that i ride from
Mumbai to Nashik everyday that everyone is making such a fuss about it(Not you). Also its not covered from all 4 sides, also there's a hole big
enough to pass air directly to engine.

Above all its NOT a PERMANENT contraption.
Hi Burnoutdee ,
I am writing this out of pure concern for a beautiful machine that is supposed to last for years if used well .
With reference to your covering the crashguard and the small hole you have left to cool the engine - Let me assure you an internal combustion engine reaches its Peak performance temperature within 2 kms of operation . The Engine being essentially Air cooled requires all the Air it can get to prevent Damage . Damage here is not just to the Block Piston but to the Valves & Tappets because of not getting sufficient Air to cool them . In my humble opinion you have already done considerable damage to your engine . Compare your engine sound to that of a well maintained Impulse . Apologies if I have sounded harsh but I bet you would prefer I sound Harsh rather than your Impulse & trust me I have been riding before you are born . Have pity on your engine & remove that Crap please ....Sometimes it takes an unusual effort to make a pot upright so that you can pour water in it , for you can pour the Ganges into an " Ulta Matka " without getting a single drop into it !

husqvarna It's ur own bike buddy u have all the rights to modify it as per ur choice, if u read my 1st post I wrote the samething. I was only shocked at the idea of removal of its mudguard thats all. Then came along a rusted uncle defending u(I did not attack u in 1st place) n makin my post look like I was makin fun of u, which in return caused following posts. I have no issues whatsoever with what u do to ur bike, u have ur own ideas for ur own machine so pls dont think otherwise.
Also i did not put that guard cos it was problem but as a customary attachment in monsoons...it still spray mud on shoes, if i had to prevent that then i wud have kept it full square.
Timbucked2 Of all things said, I can see the logic of ur post buddy. I will remove the plastic board before I sit on bike tomorrow morning. I don't n never claim that I know all or what I do is right, but way the words put across matters alot to me.

Though I m now working in mumbai but I am born and brought up in shimla. My grand parents are 100 kms up on hills from shimla and its an awesome ride for impulse. Can enjoy apple orchards, waterfalls and beautiful landscapes...

Btw nice to know that you are a hard core off-roder.

I usually don't let my bike stay there alone to get wet if it rains, coz the seat cover has a hole in it made by a silly cat!!!! so whenever my bike gets wet water gets inside the seat and stays there for atleast a day or two until it dries!!! grrr.. and this will make your pants wet and it is awkward that it appears that u pee'd in your pants when you get off from the bike!! sooooo..... always park it in shades :P
