Actually I don't want to waste the premium Metzeler tyres on Mumbai roads and instead use them for the weekend rides. So please suggest if I should go forward and book Impulse. Going through this entire thread will take time hence I am asking it -- whether its a good bike in city conditions and what are the common issues you guys have faced till now?

Plz go ahead n book it. ul love it. but plz do consider ur requirements be4 taking a decision. like - what milage would u expect and ur height (min 5.7 required for Impulse). and if u are really want a bike to go - On road / Off road / No road then then is the best decision u would take.

plz consider the factors ur looking n ur requirements then take a decision.

The prob was in CRAB.... I had it replaced...... The part was transported from Mangalore in a single nite as i had mailed those Headoffice guys n told regarding this problem. so i guess they called up n screwwed their happiness so they fixed my bike in just one nite.

Other day to check mileage i filled 1 litre petrol, it ran for 56kms n went on reserve. Again to confirm, i filled a litre from a different petrol pump n it ran only 35kms n went on reserve. Same riding style, In fact yesterday it was city n highway ride but today it was only highway @55kmph.

What cud b the reason?!

Hi

I would suggest you stick to the petrol bunks which give you maximum mileage, and avoid those which make you scratch your head.

I could see two causes.

1) the fuel is adulterated.
or 2) This I saw on a facebook post earlier, but was shocked when happened to me today at a petrol bunk in bangalore near my office.

I told the operator to put 5L in the tank. He asked me cash or card. I said card.
He started the meter and pumping the petrol. As usual, I am looking at the meter.
When it read, 1.23L, he asked me take out the card. I looked down to take out my wallet from the side pocket of my jacket, and Bingo..the meter read 4.5L (with in 1.0 sec.)
This is a trick they pull most of the times. all they need to do is press one of the levers on the pump which they are already holding in their palm. You wouldn't even notice what happened.
You will be surprised that for 1.2L it took more than a minute, but from 1.2 to 4.5 it took 1 sec.

The only way to prove they are cheating is to ask them for receipt from the dispensing machine which they'll refuse.

So, guys, next time, when ever you at the petrol bunk, do not take your eyes off the meter display, even if there was a thunder bolt right next to you
Lesson learnt.

Regards
Vinod

I'll go to ASC to check mileage again, will only take 30 mins..at least I will not b bothered thinkin thrs something wrong with my beloved bike. It upsets me alot when such stupid things happen to my bike yaar.

I'll keep in mind what u said abt those Bastards' tricks at petrol pump. Thanx for sharing vinvk.
