My friend dragon_rider checked with these guys and they quoted 6K and it remains till 2 years which is too much.... with the same price you can get 3D painting job done to your bike.

So NO to this

Anyway thanks for sharing

No buddy, its not normal, Please consult the service center ASAP.

How can the Idling enhance from 1K to 2K directly n then come to normal? Buddy maybe the accelator was stuck or something.

Hi Guys,

So far I have noticed -

1. Heating of engine has reduced greatly now.
2. Even after completing 950KMs sound of engine has not changed.
3. Pickup is top notch in 3rd gear.
4. Headlight is poor.
5. Mileage of approx. 48KMPL (though my bike is not on reserve yet) - Service center mech opened the carb n did not correct the AFR settings n I assumed thar screwed up my mileage.
6. Screws under front mud-guard tend to loosen up and it requires regular checks.
7. Weird sound from front when hit sudden bumps has disappeared on its own.
8. Rear breaks are unpredictable, sometimes it locks the wheel n sometimes its too spongy.
9. This is a solid bike, no rattling sound on any terrain.
10. Suuuuuuper smooooooth ride, it inspires me to ride even more.

P.S - Every ride on this bike akin to meditation, esp. on concrete roads. I am happy to have purchased HERO IMPULSE!

Kindly share ur views about ur Impluse' too

Regards!

Even I am suffering the same problem. When i start the bike in the morning the idle drop to 1k and when ride for some kms and the engine is warmed up it shoots up to 2k.

Idling does shootup after warmup 100-200+/- is fine, but shooting up by 1K is sure not acceptable. Do speak with service center mech, before it does any damage to engine.

On a new bike the shooting up of the rpm is normal because of the increase in engine heat. if u have to ride too long then its best u reduce the idle screw as the heat increases else leave it as it for short rides. With time the issue will wear off

Hi Guys,

Does any one know of a workshop in western suburbs (beyond Andheri) which has machinery to setup/tune Carb. As I am unhappy with the ability of service center mech to set it up using his ears. I'll confirm with service center guys too if they have such a machine.

Regards.

U mean a dyno? Usually small mechanics don't have a dyno as they r very expensive.

I dont know what its called but there must be some machine which can configure the AFR settings better than ASC guys.
