bro lovely pics...just a smal doubt. on silencer guard be4 the number "26" below indicator, is that a burnt mark????? its fiber i know...... is it due to heat of silencer or any other mark?????
Lol no , Its just Dust, i came from outside and took the snaps.. i didnt clean it . Silence doesnt produce that much heat to burn the guard .So chill out!

      Hi Yash,

Is it just me or the mudguard seems to be pointing towards right side a bit. Also thr's a scratch on the tip.

          Hi fellow rider,

I took dekivery of my Black Impulse last week on on 5th july.

I ve gone through the whole thread and its very informative

The bike is good and comfortable.

          1. Right now when I leave the handle bar it pulls to the right. Need to check and correct it in the first service.

          2. The reputed tick sound can be heard in my fork too. Only when it drops on sudden bump. Whats the ultimate solution? Just neglect it?

          3. Gear ratios are not comfortable. I m used to my ThunderBird, it could even crawl at the top gear. But impulse needs frequent gear shift in traffic. Need some time to get used to it.

          4. I could sense the engine heat at slow speed and a burnt oil smell after the ride. Lets see if it continues after the first service.

          5. As many have requested, where can we source the knuckle guards, engine guard/sump guard and fork gaiter in India.

          6. Initially the headlamp was lighting up the top of trees and first floors of the building. After reading through this thread I adjusted the levelling screw. Now I m happy with the visibility.

          7. What are the contents of your toolkit in your bike. I received only the plug spanner and a screw driver. But manual lists a few more tools. Did u guys received all of the items listed in the manual.

          8. Anybody aware of the right sparkplug to drive at constant 80 - 90. I used to keepup 95 - 105 in my RE whenever I ride to my office. A right sparkplug would provide suitable power and keeps the engine cool relatively and efficiently. I forgot which one to choose, hot plug or cold plug, long reach or short reach?

          9. I m impressed with the suspension and engine smoothness.

Welcome to the Impulse owners' club buddy! Glad to know that u got a new Impulse, I got a black one too on 13th June.

            1. My bike used to go to left, it still does after 1st service but its way too under control now, so no issues on that front.

            2. I think that "Tick" sound comes from the Odometer as there's a lot of play even though its fixed with a metal and a rubber visor, I have my meter changed
that's how i kno abt its fixture. Besides that, there's nothing lose to make that sound.

            3. I am also not comfortable with frequent gear shifting on it. Besides, Its neutral placement is also not comfortable; I can engage neutral from 2nd gear but find it difficult from 1st gear.

            4. I got the 1st service done @700 Kms but still feel the warm air on slow speeds/short drives. Maybe we will have to bear it for couple 1000 KMs.

            5. I confirmed with service center, only knuckle guards are available with bikes; so far no accessory for our beloved Impulse in market. (They come up with a very unique bike for Indian market n issue no accessory for it at all....they should think about it) Even knuckle guards were added after a year i guess.

            6. I have not fiddled with headlamp yet but will check that when required....heard alot abt that focus screw.

            7. I have received 3 different spanners, 1 multi-spanner, a rectuangular spanner metal grip, dual sided screwdriver.

            8. The other day i checked on NGK website - NGK I am thinking of going for G-Power spark plug as it is a "Platinum"tipped one. One guy has installed NGK Iridium;
u can check on the web site too.

            9. Im in love with the smoothness and the sound of engine. it's the best. I have also been on an extremely rugged off-road drive recently where I had the time of my life!!
This is the best investment of my life so far...

Hope u have a great time with your bike, all the best and ride carefully.

Hi... Mostly when I shift from 1st to 2nd I end up coming to neutral with a loud sound. May be its because of huge gap in ratio between 1st nd 2nd. I get irritated with that sometimes. Yes riding in traffic is pain coz 1st gear is very small and second is tall. Sometimes in traffic you have to shift to 1st and then from 1stvto second its never smooth. It already shifts with a sound. Shifting from 3rd to top is smooth. engine is same as in unicorn but unicorn feels and sounds more smooth. Do u face same prob in shifting?

No buddy, am not facing any issues with shifting just the neutral. I feel Impulse's engine is smoother n quiter. I rode it on the hill on worst path i can imagine with good amount of throttle n i was pretty satisfied with its performance there. I felt that it's sound will change but it's still the same - extremely smooth.

I dont wanna exaggerate but on short city road drives i usually listen to music while cruising at 30-40 (my timings r when thr's no traffic) but since the day I got Impulse,
i only prefer to listen to its engine n rhythm of its gear shifting response. Trust me on this.

I cannot even start to imagine how can u wait for your bike to arrive on a particular date even though its fully paid for n registered under ur name. I paid the money over the counter
n took the bike immediately, took it myself with showroom guy to service center for fixing it.

I even rode it for a week without number.
